Attraction Description for Busch Gardens
Below is a list of rides and attractions that you will find during your visit to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
Gwazi – This ride is the Southeast’s largest and fastest double wooden roller coaster, with over 1.25 million feet of lumber and 7,000 feet of track. This ride has two intertwined coasters, the Gwazi Lion and the Gwazi Tiger, both of which take guests on rides they will never forget.
Congo River Rapids – Experience the rapids of the Congo River in a 12-person raft, where you will encounter a geyser and a monstrous waterfall among other obstacles along your trek.
SheiKra – SheiKra is North America’s first and only dive roller coaster that sends riders 200 feet up in the air and then 90 degrees straight down at a breathtaking 70 mph. To add to the fun of this new coaster even more, SheiKra is now floorless, which takes both the fun and fear factors of this thrill ride up a notch.
Cheetah Chase – Cheetah Chase is a five-story family coaster that takes its riders on an adventure through Timbuktu.
Kumba – Kumba is billed as one of the country’s best roller coasters, with an almost 14-story drop, along with a diving loop, a 360-degree spiral and one of the world’s largest vertical loops.
Montu – This inverted roller coaster sends those who dare to go on it over 60 mph with a G-force of 3.85 while going through an inverse diving loop and a 60-foot vertical loop.
Scorpion – Feel the sting of the Scorpion as you go through a 360-degree loop and a 60-foot drop in Timbuktu.
Stanley Falls – This family log flume ride ends with a four-story plummet that will be sure to cool you off on a hot Florida day.
Tanganyika Tidal Wave – Your tranquil boat ride doesn’t stay tranquil for long, as a 55-foot plunge will sneak up on you and assure all 20 passengers of a good soaking.
Friends Forever – This family-friendly show brings Dumphrey the dragon, a dashing knight and a beautiful princess together as they teach guests that friends can accomplish anything.
KaTonga – This Broadway-inspired show tells the story of aspiring storytellers as they strive to become masters of their craft. The traditional African stories are told through puppet design, original music and African-inspired dance in this 35-minute presentation.
Mirage Canteen – In the Marakesh Theater, the Mirage Canteen presents a glamorous 1940s Hollywood musical tribute.
Mystic Sheiks of Morocco – The Mystic Sheiks of Morocco, a symbol of Busch Gardens for more than 30 years, entertains guests with their blend of music, dance and spirited singing. This eight-piece marching band can be found during one of their daily sidewalk shows.
Pirates 4-D – This comedy adventure takes 3-D to a whole new level, with multi-sensory effects in the theater as well as on the big screen.
Bird Gardens – Check out almost 500 tropical birds from around the globe that will delight you with their vibrant colors and raucous calls.
Birds of Prey – This presentation includes rare raptors such as eagles and free-flying falcons.
Edge of Africa – This self-guided walking tour will take you through the habitats of hippos, hyenas, meerkats, vultures, a Nile crocodile and more.
Lory Landing – This domed habitat features a variety of parrots, including lorikeets, hornbills and pheasants.
Rhino Rally – This off-road adventure will take you on a safari through Africa for some up-close animal encounters.
Serengeti Plain – The Serengeti Plain features hundreds of African wildlife that can be seen from multiple rides and various walkways in the park.
Myombe Reserve – The Myombe Reserve is home to the naturalistic habitat of gorillas and chimpanzees, giving you an up-close view of these primates in a lush forest.
Clydesdale Hamlet – Visit the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales, along with Sprint the donkey, whose dream of being a Clydesdale made him famous in a series of Super Bowl TV ads.
King Tut’s Tomb – Visit a realistic duplication of King Tut’s tomb as it was being excavated in the 1920s.
Land of Dragons – Land of Dragons is the kids’ area at Busch Gardens, featuring a three-story-tall tree house, an enchanted forest, slides, rides and friendly dragons. The Land of Dragons’ stage also is home to the Friends Forever show.
Serengeti Railway – Travel through the Serengeti Plain and see large free-roaming herds of African animals.
Skyride – Fly over Busch Gardens from the Crown Colony area to the Congo on the opposite side of the park on this high-in-the-sky attraction.
