Attractions for non-riders at the parks in Orlando

There are hundreds of rides scattered across all of the theme parks around Orlando, including different attractions for everyone in the whole family. So, while some in the family may enjoy thrill rides, you can be rest assured that if you are a non-rider, you will still have many options to enjoy the world-class theme parks in Central Florida.

Whether you want to ride or not, everyone in your party will still need a ticket to get into each and every one of the theme parks in town. Instead of waiting to pay full price once you arrive, you can take care of your theme park tickets before you even begin your vacation – and get them at a discounted price! Here at OrlandoFunTickets.com, we are your No. 1 online source for discounted tickets to Disney, Universal and Sea World Orlando. With the lowest prices in town and many ticket options to choose from, be sure to start your vacation off on the right foot with OrlandoFunTickets.com!

Now that you have your tickets in order, it is time to start planning what to do inside the parks. Possibly the best theme park to go to if you are a non-rider is Sea World Orlando. At this park, you can easily use an entire day just seeing the many shows and walking through the animal exhibits and interactions. This park does have two “thrill rides,” but one of their most popular attractions, Wild Arctic, is a motion-simulator-based thrill ride that takes guests on an unforgettable helicopter ride to a remote research station. Even the most fickle non-rider will enjoy Wild Arctic and all of the other attractions at Sea World!

While Sea World may be the best place for non-riders to enjoy a day, Universal’s Islands of Adventure might possibly be the worst. This park has a reputation for being the best place in Central Florida for thrill rides, meaning that you won’t have many opportunities besides the kid areas to enjoy many attractions. However, one of the best 3-D attractions is housed here – The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. This one-of-a-kind ride combines moving vehicles with 3-D action and special effects to create an adventure worthy of a super hero – and one that anyone can stomach as well!

At Universal’s second theme park, Universal Studios Florida, you will encounter many more attractions worth taking in. One of the first things that should be on your can’t-miss list is Shrek 4-D. At this show, you will join Shrek, Donkey and Princess Fiona on a 3-D adventure with a twist. Through “OgreVision,” you will tag along an all-new honeymoon adventure with dozens of visual and audio effects that add to the typical 3-D show experience. After you tackle this, be sure to head over to Men in Black: Alien Attack, where you will team up to save Earth from alien terrorists by shooting and capturing aliens while riding in vehicles through New York City in what feels like a live-action video game. With additional shows and attractions, Universal Studios Florida is a good place for any non-rider in your party.

At Disney, non-riders will also find a plethora of attractions worthy of a visit to these four theme parks. With many shows and attractions for the whole family, any of these parks are good for the faint of heart, as there are not many “thrill rides” across the Walt Disney World Resort. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, highlights for non-riders include It's Tough to be a Bug!, the Kilimanjaro Safaris and The Festival of the Lion King. At It’s Tough to be a Bug!, guests become honorary bugs as you see this 3-D production from a bug’s point of view. The Kilimanjaro Safaris is a guided adventure through more than 100 acres of re-created African terrain, and the Festival of the Lion King is another family-favorite and one of the most highly-rated live performances across property.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot are also two good theme parks for non-riders. Disney’s Hollwood Studios is full of live productions like Beauty and the Best – Live on Stage, the new High School Musical Pep Rally and the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show. Mix these in with non-rider friendly attractions such as The Great Movie Ride and Muppet Vision 3-D, and you can easily spend an entire day here without even going near the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, this park’s two main attractions.

At Epcot, non-riders will especially enjoy taking a walk through the World Showcase, which is a replica of 11 different countries from around the world. But, even the attractions here are doable for non-riders. Mission: SPACE now has two rides – one for high-action and thrills, and one that does not spin but still gives you the simulation of going into space. Soarin’ is another popular attraction that everyone will love, as this ride simulates hand gliding over the natural wonders of the state of California, complete with wind sheer and the smells of California orange groves and pine forests as you pass over the western terrain.

Finally, the Magic Kingdom Park has a host of non-rider friendly attractions. With the exception of the “mountain rage,” i.e. Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain, every attraction here is viable for everyone to ride. Some of the highlights for non-riders include the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (much like the Men In Black attraction at Universal) and Mickey’s Philharmagic, one of the most creative 3-D shows anywhere that takes you through all of the most popular Disney animated features of all-time as Donald Duck goes in search of Mickey’s coveted sorcerer’s hat!

If you have any non-riders in the family – or if you are a non-rider yourself – don’t worry; with hundreds of attractions at all of the major theme parks across Central Florida, there is plenty for everyone to do and experience on vacation! And remember, to make your experience the best that it can be, purchase your discounted tickets right here at OrlandoFunTickets.com!
