The Walt Disney World® Resort has always been a place where children have been able to live out their fantasies and see all of their favorite characters firsthand that they have grown up watching and reading about. But now, children can get closer to their favorite characters than ever before, as Disney has come up with a way to actually transform the youngest Walt Disney World® Resort guests into princes and princesses for a day!

One brief walk through a Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Park will easily unearth many people walking around with Mickey ears or a Goofy hat perched upon their heads, and it is just as easy to find a little girl walking around with a Cinderella or Belle gown on. Because of this trend, Disney came up with the idea of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. This salon enables parents to transform their children into a real Disney prince or princess while getting the “royal treatment” along the way! There are two Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique locations – the first location opened at the World of Disney® in the Downtown Disney® Marketplace in 2006, and due to its immense popularity, a second location was added inside Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom® Park just one year later. As you can imagine, both are highly sought after locations, so reservations are highly suggested for both boutiques by calling (407) WDW-STYLE up to 180 days in advance of your desired appointment time.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Downtown Disney® Marketplace has 10 different stations to facilitate these royal makeovers. There are four packages available for girls, starting with the Coach package, which enables your princess to receive a princess hairstyle, sash and shimmering makeup. The Crown package includes a princess hairstyle, shimmering makeup, sash and manicure, while the Castle package includes all of the above plus a princess costume with accessories and a photo package. Finally, if your child would rather transform into Hannah Montana more than Cinderella, the Disney Secret Star Makeover is now also available at the Downtown Disney® Marketplace location only. Your daughter can get a taste of the “best of both worlds” with a Hannah Montana wig, T-shirt, guitar purse, microphone headset, Backstage Pass makeup kit and commemorative photo. If you don’t want to leave your son out of the fun, you can also book him the Cool Dude package, which includes a hairstyle, colored gels and a Mickey stencil for under ten dollars.

There are a few limitations, however, if you would like to book one of the aforementioned packages at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. First of all, these services are for ages 3 and up only. In addition, your child should have clean hair, be free of head or scalp conditions for at least 30 days, bring their own brush for the Fairy Godmother to use, and if your child will be getting a manicure, their nails should be clean and free of all polish. And, as a friendly reminder, theme park admission is required for access to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom® Park.
