Within a few months, Spaceship Earth will undergo an interior renovation in order to give the attraction a more updated, futuristic feel. The ride's updates will include: new scenes, new costumes, new special effects, new music, a brand new narrator and a futuristic interactive ending. The omnimover vehicles will act as your interactive "time-machines" will now have an interactive screen installed where riders can chose their own landscape of the future. When Spaceship Earth reopens in 2008, it is going to be reborn as a ride into the futureworld.

Spaceship Earth's post-ride area will be re-named : Project Tomorrow : Inventing the World of Tomorrow. There will be state-of-the-art interactive exhibits and games such as Body Builder, a 3-D virtual attraction where guests will be able to build and create a digital human body. Super Driver will be a new driving simulation virtual-reality arcade game where you can test and learn about vehicle accident avoidance systems. All renovations will be completed in separate phases and should be finished by early 2008.
