Helpful Tips for Animal Kingdom!
Disney's Animal Kingdom is said to be the hottest park in Disney. Maybe it is because of the minimal number of air conditioned rides. Beat the heat with lots of water, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. This may not be the best park for seniors who might have a hard time finding somewhere cool to rest.
Of course, if you don't mind getting wet, you can always cool off on the Kali River Rapids Attraction. Just be sure to keep your feet up off the floor and on the center bar. You will get soaked on this ride, very soaked. If that's not your cup of tea, it is a good idea to save the Rapids until you are ready to leave the park.
Keep your eyes peeled for cast members and live animals that are stationed around the park. You may get a chance to pet or hold the bugs, birds, reptiles, etc. that they are holding. Kids especially love these one-on-one interactions with wild life.
If you are hoping to ride the Expedition: Everest- Legend of the Forbidden Mountain attraction, be sure to get a fast pass for it as soon as you enter the park. The attraction is still fairly new and still widely popular.
Arguably one of the best shows in all of Disney World is Festival of the Lion King. Be sure to grab a seat at one of its many showings throughout the day. It is a very interactive show that features singing, dancing, acrobatic "monkeys," fire baton twirlers, and still more exotic entertainment.
In DinoLand U.S.A. area guests can interact with Lucky, a free-roaming audio animatronics dinosaur. He walks around the DinoLand U.S.A. area at his own leisure and has the ability to sneeze, bray, hiccup, sign autographs, laugh, and of course interact with guests.
