The Shows at SeaWorld
As the kids go back to school in the fall for the year, some of the best local area shows and attractions go on hiatus as well until the next summer season. At SeaWorld Orlando, three of the best shows in town are summer-only features, and all are worth taking one last look at before they pack up for the next nine months.
Shamu the killer whale, who stars in Believe during the day, is also the focus of Shamu Rocks at night, a summer-only show that is a rock n’ roll concert like no other. The famous whales of SeaWorld are synchronized with music remixed from the hottest stars today. Shamu and a team of skilled trainers push the limits in the water, while 20-foot wide rotating LED screens set the stage for a colossal multimedia presentation and nearly 100 speakers throughout the stadium provide an optimal rock n’ roll surround sound experience. There is even a live guitarist in the show and a section of Latin music that literally puts everyone in the crowd in the mood to get up and dance!
Shamu, however, is not the only summertime show worth seeing at SeaWorld Orlando. If you want to combine the worlds of comedy and animal training, be sure to check out Clyde and Seamore Present Sea Lions Tonight, which takes laughter on into the evening as the park’s entertaining sea lions, otters and walrus parody other SeaWorld Orlando shows. If you are familiar with the other SeaWorld Orlando performances, like Believe and Blue Horizons, you will love this show! If not, be sure to check those out before viewing to get the full range of comedy in the inside jokes!
To cap off your evening at SeaWorld Orlando, be sure to hit up Mistify, the seasonal show that encompasses the majesty of the sea by featuring larger-than-life marine creatures on 60-foot mist screens, 100-foot fountains, flames on water and a fireworks display to cap the night off. Mistify, a 20-minute show, conveys the power and wonder of the underwater world as seen through the imagination of a young child and is best seen from the edge of The Waterfront harbor. Mistify is a great way to end your day at SeaWorld Orlando, but be sure to get a good view from The Waterfront or you might miss the dazzling display of images projected on the mist screens.
