At Universal Studios Orlando Resort, Halloween Horror Nights has been dubbed the “Carnival of Carnage” starring Universal’s own “Jack the Clown.” There’s nothing like a clown to put the horror in your Halloween, and if you have seen any of the adds, you will understand why Jack is very good at his job. And this year, he has invited three especially scary stars of the horror picture screen to join his Carnival: Freddy Krueger, Jason and Leatherface.
Jack and his friends at Universal have set up totally freak-filled re-creations of the homes of this nightmarish trio. Among the eight brand new ghostly tours, Jack’s special guests will feel right at home in the “Dreamwalkers,” “Fleshwounds,” and ‘Camp Blood” houses. All three are based on their respectively gruesome and scary movies, “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” “Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” and “Friday the 13th.” Since the opening of Halloween Horror Nights in September, it has been reported by horror veterans that “A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dreamwalkers” and “Friday the 13th: Camp Blood” are two of the most horrifying and eerily realistic houses in the history of Universal’s Halloween hauntings, and that the event is a huge improvement over last year.
When your throat needs a rest from screaming through these “scariest ever” haunted houses, take in the four new live shows that are rocking the park this year. One of the most anticipated performances is the “The Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute,” which honors the famous cult classic film. Get into the “Time Warp” and join your favorite transvestite troupe for some Halloween hijinks. You will be amazed at the true freaks – not to mention the magical performances – in “The Freak Show,” and “Jack’s Carnival of Carnage” is sure to provide exactly what it says. And there’s always Bill & Ted for a few “Excellent” laughs, and their “Halloween Adventure” this time around is no exception.
