Christmas at Walt Disney World in Orlando is full of wonderful surprises and annual traditions. So far we have seen millions of lights, great new shows, towering Christmas trees and Mickey’s yearly Christmas Party. As in previous years, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa will host the two-hour march down Main Street U.S.A.
Joining them will be superstars like Miley Cyrus, Patti LaBelle, Josh Groban and the Jonas Brothers. Also making special appearances will be fan favorites from “Dancing With The Stars” and cast members from the Disney blockbuster “High School Musical 2.” The Harlem Gospel Choir will join Jessica Simpson for the show’s grand finale.
The Christmas Day Parade will also feature Disney’s newest princess, Giselle from Walt Disney Pictures’ “Enchanted,” making her first TV appearance alongside Mickey, Minnie and parade favorites like the gingerbread men, dancing snowmen, toy soldiers and marching reindeer. Also new this year is a “Toy Story” float featuring Woody, Buzz, Jess and their pals.Other floats will feature Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater from the Disney-Pixar film “Cars,” Aladdin and Princess Jasmine parading on horseback and a Royal Candlelight Ball showcasing Snow White, Prince Charming, Sleeping Beauty, Prince Phillip, Mulan and Shang. The Seven Dwarfs will be tending to a bejeweled Christmas Tree and Disney’s famous Toy Soldiers will be doing their annual Toyland March. Mickey and Minnie will have a tree float of their own, and Santa Claus himself will take time to join in on the holiday fun after his Christmas Eve ride.
