Disneys Animal Kingdom Park Yak and Yeti Restaurant
There is a new first of its kind attraction at Disneys Animal Kingdom Theme Park one that actually doesnt involve live animals or a roller coaster but is creating quite a buzz and level of excitement around the Walt Disney World Resort. But if it doesn’t produce thrills, then what exactly is it? The Yak & Yeti Restaurant, the first full-service restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme Park! This Pan-Asian-inspired restaurant located in (where else?) Asia in the village of Anandapur and next to the ride’s biggest attraction, Expedition Everest, houses both a 250-seat indoor full-service restaurant with a 350-seat outdoor pavilion for patrons who would prefer the adjacent quick-service dining option.
The menu items range in price from around $5-$13 for appetizers (options include wok-fried green beans, steamed mussels and pork egg rolls), $15-$23 for entrees (tempura shrimp, mahi mahi and duck with Anandapur glaze are selections) and $6-$8 for dessert selections (try the fried wontons or chocolate brownie sundae). Counter service selections range from around $3 for a side to $11 for the most expensive entrée. You won’t find a huge range of items on the menu, as this establishment is opting for quality over quantity. Lunch is served daily from 10 a.m. until 3:45 p.m., and dinner starts at 4 p.m. until the park closes. The Yak & Yeti Restaurant is part of the 2008 Magic Your Way Disney Dining Plan, and while the restaurant at first only served walk-up guests, they started taking reservations for guests beginning on January 4, 2008 (these can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE).Labels: Disney Dinning, Disney Dinning Plan, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Orlando Restaurants, Yak and Yeti
