Coasting Through Orlando Part 4
The next stop on our coast through Orlando, is actually not an Orlando theme park. For this one we have to zip across I-4 and enter the realm of Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa Bay.If you love roller coasters, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a must. It’s one of the top roller coaster parks in the world, and OrlandoFunTickets.com has your discount Busch Gardens tickets ready and waiting.
Now for the rundown:
Gwazi at Busch Gardens in the “largest, fastest double wooden coaster” in the Southeast. Any coaster fanatic craves a good, old-fashioned woodie. Well, we’re not sure if this is old fashioned, but its 7,000 feet of track are sure to give you a good old thrill.
Catch is, you have to ride this one twice. Gwazi has two different intertwining tracks: the Gwazi Lion, with its “seemingly continuous” string of spirals, and the Gwazi Tiger with its “slalom sensation” that gives you that “bobsledding” feel.
SheiKra was the “first dive coaster” the US had ever seen when it opened in 2005. It agonizingly lifts riders up the 200-foot first hill and then – BAM – it drops you 90-degrees straight down.
And that wasn’t wild enough. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay upped the ante last year, pushing SheiKra even further down the path to insanity: they made it floorless! Now every hill and drop has an unobstructed view of the ground 200-feet below. SheiKra will make you shriek.
With a 135-foot initial drop, Kumba doesn’t lack in thrills. This silky smooth steel soarer plunges you 110-feet into a diving loop, a 360° loop and 3 seconds of complete weightlessness. Whew.
Montu’s track looms above you, leaving you dangling through an inverse diving loop and a 60-foot vertical loop, all at speeds up to 60 mph and with a g-force of 3.85. The ancient Egyptians would be proud.
The Scorpion is an oldie but goodie. You would think a 60-foot drop couldn’t compete with the others, but this one has incredible speed combined with fun hops and hills. You won’t be disappointed.
If you aren’t ready for a roller coaster trip to Orlando now, you never will be. In order to be really ready, though, you need to get your cheap Busch Gardens tickets right now!
