This year’s Mardi Gras celebration at Universal Orlando will feature some fabulous, top-name musical talent along with an extravagantly rich New Orleans-style parade containing 13 floats. The fantastical floats will wind vibrantly through the “French Quarter Courtyard,” a specially designed area of Universal Studios intended to replicate the real French Quarter back in New Orleans. For 2008, some special floats have been added to represent exotic locales like Babylon, Camelot, Atlantis, Eden, El Dorado and Shangri-La.
