By now, we have all seen the eerie and mysterious images of Bloody Mary on TV, pamphlets, websites, billboards, and MORE for Universal Studios Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 18. But, the scary images just have people wondering just what to expect from Universal this year when it comes to the haunted houses. The myth and legend of Bloody Mary is one that everyone grew up with. You might have even tried saying the words Bloody Mary three times in front of a mirror. The majority of us chickened out by the second saying of the name, worried as to what would happen. But now, you are invited behind the mirror to a world of tales, myths, nightmares, urban legends, and fears. Universal Studios will dispel all of the myths, as your darkest nightmares come true behind the mirror.

The main house of the event will be “Reflections of Fear,” where Bloody Mary awaits anyone daring enough to call out her name. Dr. Mary Agana believes that in order to conquer your fears you must be forced to constantly come in contact with the cause of fear, so that you become numb to the idea of fearing it. Well, Mary’s biggest fear is death, so she wants you to be her constant. You can run, but you can’t hide from the reflection and existence of Bloody Mary.

At Halloween Horror Nights 18, fairy tales, legends, and YOU don’t live happily ever after. Enter “Scary Tales: Once Upon a Nightmare” where you will see your beloved fairy tale characters like you’ve never seen them before. There is no escaping this rabbit hole…sorry Alice. At “The Hallow” you can experience the myth behind Halloween. It is said that on every Halloween ghosts, goblins, and witches all come out to play in the darkest parts of forests. Is this true? You can only find out one way…enter if you dare as the souls of the Underworld take over this house!

Legends of the unknown have always scared us. Now, travel into the unknown with “Creatures!” and “Interstellar Terror.” At “Creatures!” trek out to the backwoods of Butchered Buck. The locals have disappeared one by one, as the entire town has been massacred. Find out what might be causing these bloody disappearing acts. “Interstellar Terror” puts you in a scare zone that is unknown to this solar system. The NSO Columbus 1492 was the first manmade spacecraft to leave this solar system. Having disappeared for numerous years, it has finally reappeared but with no crew onboard. You are sent to investigate what is on-board that caused their disappearance.

Nightmares come to life this year with the remaining houses. “Dead Exposure” allows you to shadow the last moments of photographer Charlie McPherson as he photographs his town that has become flooded with flesh-eating zombies. Enter “Doomsday” where you can experience the Universal movie for yourself and run from the reaper virus infested victims. The terrifying tale of “The Body Collectors” comes to life in the final house. The body collectors are always looking for new specimens for their morbid museum.

No matter which house you enter, let’s be honest, you are sure to be scared! This Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios immerses you in fear. So, step behind the mirror and see what Bloody Mary has in store for you…
