With the new High School Musical 3 movie debuting recently on October 24th, the High School Musical craze is at an all-time high. And now, guests at Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios can get in on the action and fun with the new live show, “High School Musical 3: Senior Year, Right Here! Right Now!”

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past two years and don’t know what High School Musical is, we’ll give you a short overview. High School Musical is a Disney Channel original movie that was released in January 2006 and spawned a world-wide teen-craze. The most successful Disney Channel movie ever produced, it tells the story of two high school juniors from rival cliques, Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez. The athlete and academic try out for their high school musical and break social divides as they learn that love and music is all that matters. With a modern-day love story, a great message, and a soundtrack full of catchy songs and ballads, the film became an instant hit and launched its stars, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, to fame.

The film was followed by a sequel, High School Musical 2: Get in the Picture, released in 2007, and the feature film High School Musical 3: Senior Year, which was recently released. The film series also launched a concert tour with cast members, and a fourth installment in the series (with an all-new cast) is in the writing stages.

However, if you already saw High School Musical 3 and didn’t get enough of the music and fun, you can see the new sidewalk show at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which debuted the same day as the movie was released. The new show is replacing the former live show about High School Musical 2, which went dark on September 13th. With many of the same cast members as the previous show and an updated storyline, the new show features the talented East High Crew in a full musical production based on the new film. Watch and groove along as fourteen singers and dancers perform six original songs from High School Musical 3 in a high-energy rock concert on a traveling stage.

The show includes a rousing “pep rally” style parade through the park’s Hollywood Boulevard and stops in front of Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat for twenty minute shows at 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 4:35 pm, and 5:35 pm. Complete with all-new interactive sequences, a cool set, fun costumes, concert lighting, and lots of choreographed dancing, the show is an infectious energetic party you won’t want to miss. Kids will love getting pulled out onto the stage to dance with the performers, and you’ll especially feel like you’re right in the middle of the movie when the crew performs their incredible finale entitled “High School Musical.”
