We are so excited that Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party has finally come around. Out of all of the wonderful events at the Magic Kingdom, this has to be one of our favorites. There’s just something special about the holidays in the Disney theme parks. The Walt Disney World Resort puts so much effort and care into preparing their parks for the holiday season that first-time visitors are absolutely blown away and returning guests leave the parks having experienced a beautiful event like never before.

During events like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only a limited amount of guests are allowed into the parks. That means shorter lines for you and a more relaxed park experience. If you’re lucky you might even get Florida’s nice, cool weather during the fall and winter to make the holiday experience extra special. But if you can’t get discount Disney tickets and make it out to the parks in time for the event, or if you just want to keep the Disney holiday spirit going once you get home, why not check out one of the great Disney holiday DVD’s?

For the princess lover in every Disney fan, you can check out Disney Princess: A Christmas of Enchantment where Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora all get together to talk about their favorite Christmas moments. There are sing-alongs and classic Disney sequences set to holiday music like “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.” Fans of the loveable characters from the Hundred Acre Wood would love Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year. In this adorable adventure, Pooh forgets to send off his Santa list and thus has to dress up as Mr. Claus to deliver presents to Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore.

Last but not least there’s Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas, a great Christmas adventure featuring Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Huey, Daisy and other Disney favorites in a series of tales that revolve around lessons to learn about the holidays. It’s not only a great family movie, but it teaches the kids a great lesson too. Make sure you try to get to the parks, but if you can’t these Disney movies will put you in the holiday spirit right on time!
