Basketball Blitz!
Sports are a huge part of any culture and right here in Orlando we not only have access to the Orlando Magic, but we also have many special events because of Disney’s Wide World of Sports. The massive 220 acre complex hosts a variety of events, including the Old Spice Classic, one of the most important tournaments in college pre-season basketball. Some of the best colleges from across the nation like Michigan, Marquette, Xavier, Creighton, Alabama and Baylor come to play some basketball in this tournament that adds to the basketball craze taking over Orlando. The championship title for the Old Spice Classic was awarded to Florida State University, who beat out Marquette in the basketball tournament to go home as number one. The Seminoles will now head into the regular basketball season as the Old Spice champs, but you don’t have to depend on college basketball alone for your basketball fix, right? Thanks to the Orlando Magic, you don’t have to! We’ve got our own great team right here in Orlando.
If you haven’t heard (as of this post) your Orlando Magic are number one in the Eastern Conference.
