Drew Brees is Going to Disney World!

After an incredible 31-17 victory that included 32 completions, 288 yards, 2 touchdowns and a no-interception performance Saints captain and now-legend Drew Brees got to utter the famous words “I’m Going to Disney World!” during the post-game celebration. This Super Bowl was the most-watched broadcast in the history of American television. The streets of Miami, where the championship game was held, was one giant party on Sunday as people gathered in every bar and club on South Beach and the rest of the city to watch the quarterback showdown between Peyton Manning and Drew Brees.
Back at Walt Disney World Brees got to ride in a pewter convertible with Mickey Mouse—who was dressed in football gear of course. The ticker-tape parade featured music by the Main Street Philharmonic Orchestra. There were plenty of Saints fans, lovingly called the “Who Dat Nation,” at the Disney theme parks ready to celebrate. The Main Street Parade also featured Minnie Mouse (in cheerleader uniform) Chip and Dale (as referees) and Goofy as a fellow football player.
Considering the resort just reopened the ESPN Wide World of Sports, we might be seeing more NFL superstars and superstars from other sports in the near future, as Disney and ESPN continue to partner up for great advancements in sports broadcasting technology. With Mardi Gras right around the corner, we’re pretty sure the Magic Kingdom will only be the first of many parades for the New Orleans Saints’ star quarterback.
