Springtime is a great time to enjoy the Disney theme parks. There is always some sort of festival or special even going on—all of which we will write about here on the blog! For you Star Wars fans make sure you keep an eye out for our posts on Star Wars Weekends which are coming up soon over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But for now we have a great festival to talk about: one that is sure to be a hit with those green thumbs and nature lovers out there!

Epcot will be hosting its International Flower and Garden Festival this March through May, so you still have plenty of time to plan your trip and look for Disney discount tickets. The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival turns the entire Epcot theme park into a wonderland of gorgeous flowers, gardens, topiaries and educational displays. Whether you know how to garden or can’t even keep a cactus alive there is plenty for you to learn during this festival. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday top horticulturists will be on hand to teach you great gardening tips during the Garden Town Programs throughout the park.

Live music will also be a big part of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival over at the America Pavilion in the World Showcase. Relive the music of the 1960’s and 1970’s during the “Flower Power” concert series. There will be plenty of things for you to buy and take home to both commemorate your visit to the festival and help your garden grow.

If you love butterflies make sure you head to Minnie’s Magnificent Butterfly Garden. You’ll feel like you stepped into an enchanted garden as hundreds of beautiful butterflies flitter about the enclosed garden. The kids are sure to love this one too! All of Epcot’s great rides will be open during the festival as will the fantastic restaurants in the World Showcase like Teppan Edo in Japan.
