HowlOScreams Newest Attraction
If the roller coasters don’t scare you then maybe the zombies at Busch Gardens’ Howl-O-Scream will! For the past 11 years, Busch Gardens has worked up a Halloween-themed attraction intent on scaring the pants off of park-goers. And this year is no different as Howl-O-Scream welcomes the newest hair-raising attraction.
This year, the Halloween event will feature a haunted house exhibit that allows people to wander through a darkened, maniac-infested structure alone. Sounds like a classic Halloween exhibit but not only is this brand new at Busch Gardens but it’s one of the scariest parts of Howl-O-Scream 2010. But beware, the “Alone” exhibit’s price is even scarier than the walk through. It costs $35 above the admission fee so if you want a good scare, get ready to pay for it!
But not to worry, there are plenty more Howl-O-Scream attractions that you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to get into. Take for example the rock ‘n’ roll guests will hear through the screaming zombies and chainsaw killers roaming the park. This year, music is an added bonus for park-goers and you can be sure you’ll hear some of your favorite bands as well as new songs as the night rages on including a new underground band, My X which will perform every night at this year’s event.
Howl-O-Scream will also feature new scare zones and more haunted houses than last year, including the “Alone” attraction which is being touted as being on the cutting edge of scare tactics.
This year’s event also features even more blood, brains and guts than previous years and the themed event is for serious horror fans and not the faint of heart.
And as always, Busch Gardens’ rides will remain open but we have to warn you, costumes will not be allowed.
The event runs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night beginning September 30 through October 31. If you can’t wait that long to see what kind of horror the park has in store, a preview is scheduled for the weekend of September 24 for discounted general admission rates.
Howl-O-Scream hours are from 7:30 to 1 a.m. on Thursday nights and Halloween night. Friday and Saturday hours are 7:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
You have one month to prepare for Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream event so make sure you watch all of the scary movies you can in preparation for spooks and thrills you only see in the movies. Until then make sure you bone up on Busch Gardens’ rides and other attractions. Once you experience Tampa’s hottest theme park, you’ll be sure to come back for their special Halloween event.
