Wet n Wild Announces New Family Play Area
Orlando’s most thrilling water park is about to get even more exciting with the addition of a new interactive family water play area and kids zone. As “The Recognized Name in Family Water Fun,” Wet ‘n’ Wild is making sure families continue to spend the hot days of summer cooling off together with the Orlando water park’s newest attraction.
Just in time for the lazy days of summer, Wet ‘n’ Wild’s new Kids’ Park, spanning an acre will feature an impressive sandcastle-themed water playground the kids are sure to love. This will be Wet ‘n’ Wild’s first new attraction in more than four years, and is expected to be the largest of its kind in Florida, which means it’s bound to add even more excitement to the park’s already thrilling water park rides and attractions.
“We are excited to offer a tremendous, new experience for families and children of all ages,” said Michael Black, Sr. Vice President & GM of Wet ‘n’ Wild “As the water park recognized for shared thrill rides and multi-person attractions, we wanted to add new thrills for the kids to share with their families.”
Amidst a secluded, beach-themed area, families will be able to splish-splash around in a region that will span more than 6-feet in height, expand across two pools with two levels: upper & lower and have more than 85,000 gallons of water to play in.
The sandcastle playground itself will be one of Wet ‘n’ Wild’s most impressive attractions as it will cover more than 15,000 square feet and will let guests experience 17 thrilling slides and over 160 soakers, jets, waterfalls and water cannons for a truly wild family experience.
The new Kids’ Park and Sandcastle will replace the current Kids’ Park and is located towards the entrance of the park for families’ convenience.
In addition to the new family play area, Wet ‘n’ Wild offers several other relaxing areas and attractions that are perfect for families. The Lazy River is one of Wet ‘n’ Wild’s most popular attractions and let’s guests float through Florida’s past with replicas of old boat docks, rustic billboards and waterfalls on a slow-moving, 4-feet deep river.
The Wave Pool Surf Lagoon offers its own serenity with a little more movement as 4-foot waves roll across a 17,000 square foot pool. If you need a break from all of the waves you can enjoy Florida’s sunshine in The Lagoon area where guests can lay out on the sun deck with lounge chairs and giant umbrellas for shade.
