Legoland Water Park Opens and Makes a Splash
The brand new Legoland Florida Water Park is already making big splashes in Orlando. The all-new water park attraction, which is attached to Orlando’s newest theme park, Legoland Florida welcomed thousands of bathing-suit clad guests ready to soak up the sun and the new water fun the park has to offer during its grand opening over Memorial Day weekend. And since then, Legoland Water Park has continued to welcome summer travelers seeking refuge from the hot Florida sun.
Just like Legoland Florida, Legoland Water Park boasts all things LEGOs, except with water elements like thrilling water slides, pools and splashy attractions including Build-A-Raft River that lets guests design and build a LEGO vessel that they can set sail with on a voyage around the 1,000-foot-long lazy river; the Joker Soaker water playground where children and adults of all ages can splish, splash, spray and swim with the area’s many slides, pools and water toys; the DUPLO® Splash Safari - the area specifically designed with toddlers in mind with shorter slides and interactive DUPLO creatures to play with; Splash Out, the water park’s most thrilling ride that takes thrill seekers to the highest point in the park before plunging them down a 60-foot drop until you “splash out” into a pool at the bottom; Twin Chasers – another of Legoland Water Park’s thrill rides that lets you and a few friends ride an inner tube 375 feet down an enclosed water slide to a pool below; and the 583,000-gallon, crystal-clear LEGO Wave Pool that offers complete relaxation as you float along the calm waters.
The park has also added the Beach-n-Brick Grille, an outdoor patio featuring a menu of jerk chicken, mahi mahi, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken fingers, hamburgers and hotdogs to ensure each guest is well fueled for their day of water park fun.Due to the ability to experience both Legoland Florida and Legoland Water Park in the same weekend without having to travel to another destination LEGOLAND Florida dubs their new water park as a “park within a park.”
“With the debut of our new water park, LEGOLAND Florida is now easily a two-day experience,” Legoland Florida General Manager Adrian Jones said, “which puts us well down the road toward our goal of becoming a multi-day resort destination.”
