Three-day weekends are always the perfect time to sneak in some Orlando theme park fun and this Labor Day Weekend Orlando theme parks are celebrating the final days of summer with some new and some old fun that will keep you busy and smiling all weekend long. Here are a few Labor Day must-do’s in Orlando:
Walt Disney World ®There is always something exciting going on at Disney and this Labor Day is no different as the Orlando theme park’s favorite nighttime parade Main Street Electrical Parade at Magic Kingdom ® returns to the park on Sept. 1 through the end of September.
From now to September 3 Raglan Road at Downtown Disney ® will be hosting the Great Irish Hooley. The Irish restaurant will be celebrating Labor Day with music, dances and plenty of family fun including face painting and dance workshops. Guests can expect bands such as Full Set, a popular Irish band; Elevation, a U2 tribute band and Creel, Raglan Road’s own house band.
Discovery Cove Imagine spending Labor Day Weekend wading through the rainforest on watery trails as curious marmoset monkeys leap from tree to tree above you and Asian otters playfully splash in the waters around you. You can also catch Gru and his adorable family along with SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora and more in the new daytime parade Superstar Parade. At night make sure you stick around to watch Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular – 100 Years of Movie Memories where you’ll relive Universal’s most iconic films in a stunning tribute with movie clips and explosive fireworks. And as always, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure offers plenty of wizarding fun all weekend long.
Wet ‘n Wild Since Labor Day Weekend often signifies the final days of summer, what better way to send the season off than with a splash-tastic weekend at America’s favorite water park? Wet ‘n Wild recently added a new kid-friendly lineup to its watery fun and this coming weekend is a great time to check it out. Blastaway Beach is a family water play area featuring a 60-foot sandcastle, 15 slides and more than 160 soakers, water jets, cannons and waterfalls.
