Top Halloween Events in Orlando
We’re a little over a month from Halloween and if you’re not quite sure what kind of ghoulish fun you want to get into this Oct. 31 here are the top Halloween events in Orlando for both kids and adults:
Halloween Horror Nights 2012 – Universal Studios Orlando – The Nation’s Premier Halloween Event, Halloween Horror Nights is not for the squeamish or for the youngsters because this year’s event will feature more blood, more guts and more overall gore than ever before. With seven haunted houses including the already popular “The Walking Dead” haunted house, “Silent Hill” and Alice Cooper: Welcome to My Nightmare houses as well as the scare zones (which aren’t in any kind of zone but all over the park) that feature vampires, beasts, prisoners, zombies and more, Halloween Horror Nights 2012 is sure to keeping you screaming all night long. Halloween Horror Nights runs select nights through Oct. 31.
Howl-O-Scream – Busch Gardens Tampa Bay- Another adult-only Halloween event, Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay dares you to take a walk on the darker side of the gardens and if you’re brave enough to do so you’ll experience your deepest, darkest fears come to life for a night you’ll be dying to escape! Howl-O-Scream features seven horrifying haunted houses including two new houses: Blood Asylum and Circus of Superstition 3-D plus four scare zones with sinister icons, and diabolical characters from your favorite Howl-O-Screams past that will have you running and desperately searching for safety through the park. Howl-O-Scream officially screams its way into Tampa today and runs select nights through Oct. 27.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party – Walt Disney World ® - If this Halloween is all about the kids, then Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is the perfect choice for some good old-fashioned Halloween fun. Both children and adults are encouraged to dress in their best Halloween garb and go trick-or-treating with your favorite Disney ® characters throughout Magic Kingdom ®. Once you’ve filled up on all the sugary goodness you can handle check out Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade that features Disney’s ® most popular characters and the stars of the Haunted Mansion and “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks display where you can watch Disney’s ® villains go trick-or-treating high in the sky. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party runs select nights now through Nov. 2.
SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular – For a Halloween under the Sea head to SeaWorld Orlando for the Halloween Spooktacular. Featuring an ocean of Halloween fun including trick-or-treating, dance parties with whimsical sea creatures, silly and spooky shows and sea-themed arts and crafts, SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular has everything you need for a family-friendly Halloween. SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular takes place every weekend in October and runs from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Brick-Or-Treat – LEGOLAND Florida – Ghouls, ghosts and goblins are invading LEGOLAND Florida for the park’s first-ever kid-friendly Halloween celebration, Brick-or-Treat. During Brick-or-Treat Miniland USA will be turned into a fun, haunted scavenger hunt where the entire family will be able to search for LEGO Monster Fighters and other scary LEGO creatures hidden within the 30 million LEGO bricks in the area. The spooky event will also feature trick-or-treating, a Brick-or -Treat trail and even a build your own Halloween themed LEGO model activity station. Brick-Or-Treat takes place on Saturdays in October from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays in October form 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
