How many times have your kids gone straight for that dog they see at the park or tried to chase after a bird on the beach, all the while you screaming at them “don’t touch!” Well at Disney’s ® Animal Kingdom your kids and you for that matter can touch, pet, brush, and interact with all of the animals you want at the Affection Section!
Affection Section is the only petting zoo in Animal Kingdom ® and allows guests of all ages to meet –and-greet friendly animals that live in the park like goats, sheep, donkeys, cows, pigs, llamas, chickens and more. Curious kids and interested adults are given the opportunity to pet, brush and feed these domesticated animals at their expansive outdoor home.
This unique petting zoo is just one area of Animal Kingdom’s ® Rafiki Planet Watch, which is devoted to the preservation and conservation of animals. While at Rafiki’s, guests can also take in interactive exhibits, a veterinary facility and more animal encounters at Conservation Station. Here, you’ll enjoy a more in-depth look at animal habitats from around the world and learn about the expert care Animal Kingdom’s ® animals receive.
Conservation Station features more than 10 care areas and Disney ® - themed experiences including:
