Seeing Green for St Patricks Day at Walt Disney World
St. Patrick’s Day may not be the biggest holiday celebrated at Walt Disney World ® but that doesn’t mean you can’t still commemorate the Irish holiday with a game of green and find throughout all four Disney ® parks. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day Weekend here are a few Walt Disney World ‘s events, rides and that will have you seeing green:
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival – There is nothing greener than a garden and the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will surround you with the some of the greenest and most gorgeous plants and flowers this St. Patrick’s Day. Stop and smell the roses and marvel at the vibrant plants and flowers that make up this year’s incredible topiaries like Mickey and Friends, Monsters Inc. University and the Land of Oz interactive garden.
Living with the Land – And speaking of green plants, Epcot’s ® Living with the Land ride will let you sail through the greenhouses of The Land Pavilion and experience diverse ecosystems and produce from around the world. You’ll also encounter Living With the Land animals like eels, tilapia, catfish and alligators, which are GREEN! You can even dine on your favorite green veggie at Sunshine Seasons or the Garden Grill Restaurant, both of which serve produce and seafood fresh from the farm.
Tree of Life – Keeping with the plant theme here, Animal Kingdom’s ® iconic symbol and the centerpiece of the park, the Tree of Life is both a fun and green attraction! This giant sculpted tree commemorates all living things and their place in the Circle of Life. With intricate details and animals carved throughout, the Tree of Life is a great spot to snap a photo and on St. Patrick’s Day it’s the perfect place to get in a little green.
Mike Wazowski – Meet-and-Greet your favorite one-eyed green monster, Mike Wazowski from Disney/Pixar’s Monster’s Inc. at Disney’s Hollywood Studios ® The Monsters Inc. Meet and Greet. Then laugh until you’re green in the face the monster comedy show with Mike and his Fellow Monsters Inc. characters at Laugh Floor at Magic Kingdom ®.
Turtle Talk with Crush – Dude! You can so totally go green with your favorite tubular turtle Crush at Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot ®. This bodacious experience lets guests actually talk to the green turtle from Disney’s hit film Finding Nemo. Using his hydrophone, Crush can talk directly with little dudes and dudettes about any and everything, including St. Patrick’s Day.
Ghosts in The Haunted Mansion – Your St. Patty’s Day can even include a little ghoulish fun when the green ghosts of The Haunted Mansion dance, sing and spook their way into your Doom Buggy.
Main Street Electrical Parade – End your green day with the Main Street Electrical Parade at Magic Kingdom ® and watch as this nighttime parade glows with gorgeous colors, including St, Patty’s Day green.
