Top New Attractions At Orlando Theme Parks This Summer
Orlando theme parks are always a popular place to be when summer hits. And this summer several of the parks are making things even more interesting with new attractions you have to see to believe. Here are the top new attractions at Orlando theme parks this summer:
Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin – The biggest and most expansive attraction to ever hit SeaWorld Orlando has been cooling guests off since early summer. And before the kids head back to school you’ll want to bring the family to this one-of-a-kind ride experience where you’ll enter the chilly land of Antarctica and witness four different species of penguins in their icy world. Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin is unlike any attraction you’ve ever experienced before, and much cooler too!
Transformers: The Ride - 3D – Universal Orlando wowed Transformers fans in June when they opened the highly-anticipated 3D ride, Transformers: The Ride - 3D. Guests, who may bump into Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee before even entering the attraction, will be taken on a simulated battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. Using flight simulator technology, movie screens, wind, heat and smoke to make you feel like you are actually in the movie, Transformers is a life-like ride you’ll definitely want to ride again and again. Plus, the attraction also includes simulated plunges several stories down skyscrapers for that little bit of thrill you expect from Universal.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Madagascar Live! Operation: Vacation – Let your summer vacation include Alex the Lion and his friends as the two of you vacation together at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. This incredible live show includes singers, dancers and rock/pop music performed by a live band, which means you’ll be singing, dancing and clapping along to original songs from the hit movies. And at the end of the show you’ll even get a chance to meet the characters and take photos with them.
World of CHIMA – Just a few weeks ago, LEGOLAND Florida welcomed the World of Chima. The addition is a three-acre area of the park based on a new LEGO line and Cartoon Network show. The World of Chima is a fictional place full of mystical animals where all things revolve around CHI, an energy source that gives the animals extraordinary powers and one that the crocodiles are trying to steal The new are includes an interactive splash-battle water ride, water play area, 12-minute 4D movie, area for racing mini-cars and a gift shop.
Kennedy Space Center
Shuttle Atlantis – Guests to Kennedy Space Center can now experience the space shuttle that has been to space and back 33 times as it sits as an educational exhibit. Like it’s fellow orbiters, Atlantis teaches guests about the shuttle fleets 30-year history. But unlike its fellow orbiters, the exhibit is displayed in “flight.” Atlantis is displayed at an angle, with its cargo bay doors open and robotic arm outstretched. The new exhibit also features a film on the origin and history of the space shuttle program.
