The Perfect Holiday Gifts at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is obviously a great place to get into the holiday spirit with incredible holiday events such as Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party and the Downtown Disney Festival of the Seasons. However, what many don’t take into account is that it’s also a great place to do all your holiday shopping! Disney theme parks often sell one-of-a-kind Disney merchandise that you can’t find anywhere else, providing the perfect gift for little ones, older fans of the park, and even picky teenagers. But what to give? That’s where OrlandoFunTickets.com comes in – we’ve highlighted some of the coolest gifts and the best places to find them in the park.

For little girls this season, princess gear is still popular, but the hot items on Christmas lists have to do with fairies. Tinkerbell is very ‘in’ right now, as are costumes from the five Disney fairies featured in the new Tinkerbell film. You can find them all at the new gift shop next to Pixie’s Hollow in Disney's Magic Kingdom, along with wands, pixie “crowns,” and illuminated wings. And though young girls may be the “target audience” for Tinkerbell, even teens love Tinkerbell merchandise such as tank tops, mugs, and collectible figurines.

For the boys, Pirates of the Caribbean merchandise is still very hot, as Disney carries everything from playing cards to bookbags and action figures. Merchandise from Disney Channel show Phineas and Ferb is also a hit with boys, as is generally anything Star-Wars related from Tatooine Traders at Disney's Hollywood Studios. And since Disney owns the Power Rangers, look for cool apparel, toys, and other Power Rangers gifts at Japan in Epcot or at World of Disney in Downtown Disney.

And let’s not forget that adults love Disney gifts too. Some of the most popular gifts to give are guide books to the parks; providing interesting facts and tales about our favorite theme parks from the experts. Colorful prints of Castle Dream Lights also make a lovely holiday gift, and kitchen utensils, mugs, and glasses from Mickey’s Pantry in the Downtown Disney marketplace make a great addition to any kitchen. And for adult Disney fashions, accessories, and jewelry, check out Keystone Clothiers at Hollywood Studios.

Another great place to find unique holiday gifts is Epcot, which is known for unique holiday merchandise during its Holidays Around the World celebration from November 28th through December 30th. At Epcot, you can shop for cool gifts from around the world without actually having to travel around the world. Each country features unique imported gifts, and you can also find lovely holiday merchandise; Germany’s gift shop in particular usually sells beautiful hand-blown glass ornaments.

And when it comes to gifts for that hard-to-shop-for person, you can’t go wrong with Disney Dollars or rechargeable Disney gift cards. You can get these both at the parks, resorts, and online, and they’re a great way to teach kids about managing their own money. Every year, the Disney Dollars appear with a different character, so they’re also a fun collectible.

But if a gift card seems too impersonal to you, there’s always the ultimate holiday failsafe: Walt Disney World tickets! And with OrlandoFunTickets.com, buying discount Disney tickets is not only inexpensive, but it’s also the easiest form of holiday shopping. So this holiday season, look to Walt Disney World for some of the best holiday gifts that definitely won’t be returned.

Christmas Day and Week at Universal Orlando Resort

The holidays have been in full swing all over Orlando for more than a month. At Walt Disney World, SeaWorld and the Universal Orlando Resort, visitors are being treated to special parades, shows and enormous displays of holiday lights and decorations. At OrlandoFunTickets.com, our visitors are treated to cheap theme park tickets at Christmastime and all year round.

At Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, park guests have already been enjoying the Return of Grinchmas, the Macy’s Holiday Parade and other special Christmas shows. Starting the day after Christmas, Universal Studios is presenting a new treat that can only be seen through December 31.

“Universal 360 – A Cinesphere Spectacular” is scheduled to explode in a “big Hollywood finish” each night over the Universal Studios Lagoon only during Christmas week. Using the new “Cinesphere” technology, Universal presents some of their biggest films in larger-than-life projections on huge spheres set over the lagoon. The show also boasts one of the largest laser light shows in the State of Florida and a stupendous pyrotechnics display to bring the show to a fabulous finale.

Guests that are looking for some good food on Christmas Day won’t be disappointed at the Universal Orlando Resort either. The Kitchen restaurant at Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel will be serving a breakfast buffet from 7 a.m. through 1 p.m.

Next door at the Portofino Bay Hotel holiday vacationers have two wonderful choices for Christmas dinner. Mama Della’s is open from 4-10 p.m. and they will be spooning up Italian specialties and Christmas treats all to the music of strolling musicians. If you are away from home for the holidays, this is the way to eat your dinner!

Over at the Trattoria del Porto, Christmas Day guests will find a buffet featuring prime rib, jumbo Gulf shrimp, leg of lamb, baked ham, king crab legs, breast of pheasant, pasta and risotto stations and omelets and crepes made to order. From noon-8 p.m., this dinner option also features visits from Universal characters, clowns and a magician.

On your Orlando holiday vacation, enjoy a great Christmas dinner at one of Universal Orlando’s fine hotels and then be sure and visit Universal Studios during Christmas week to be one of the few with the chance to see “Universal 360 – A Cinesphere Spectacular.” And don’t forget – get your discount Universal tickets right here at OrlandoFunTickets.com!

Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade

Christmas at Walt Disney World in Orlando is full of wonderful surprises and annual traditions. So far we have seen millions of lights, great new shows, towering Christmas trees and Mickey’s yearly Christmas Party. One of the most popular traditions won’t be unwrapped until Christmas Day, and millions of people will be watching. So if you haven’t gotten your cheap theme park tickets at OrlandoFunTickets.com to visit The Magic Kingdom this December and see the parade in person, then you can get a great seat in front of your TV to watch the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade.

This year is the 24th annual showing of this holiday tradition and will be aired on ABC-TV on Christmas Day at 10 a.m. eastern time. As in previous years, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa will host the two-hour march down Main Street U.S.A.

Joining them will be superstars like Miley Cyrus, Patti LaBelle, Josh Groban and the Jonas Brothers. Also making special appearances will be fan favorites from “Dancing With The Stars” and cast members from the Disney blockbuster “High School Musical 2.” The Harlem Gospel Choir will join Jessica Simpson for the show’s grand finale.

The Christmas Day Parade will also feature Disney’s newest princess, Giselle from Walt Disney Pictures’ “Enchanted,” making her first TV appearance alongside Mickey, Minnie and parade favorites like the gingerbread men, dancing snowmen, toy soldiers and marching reindeer. Also new this year is a “Toy Story” float featuring Woody, Buzz, Jess and their pals.

Other floats will feature Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater from the Disney-Pixar film “Cars,” Aladdin and Princess Jasmine parading on horseback and a Royal Candlelight Ball showcasing Snow White, Prince Charming, Sleeping Beauty, Prince Phillip, Mulan and Shang. The Seven Dwarfs will be tending to a bejeweled Christmas Tree and Disney’s famous Toy Soldiers will be doing their annual Toyland March. Mickey and Minnie will have a tree float of their own, and Santa Claus himself will take time to join in on the holiday fun after his Christmas Eve ride.

The Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade provides a way for everyone to have a little Disney for Christmas. And while you’re watching the parade on TV, begin planning your winter vacation. Start right here at OrlandoFunTickets.com and get all of your discount theme park tickets in one place and for the lowest prices around!

It is a time of great fun and celebration, and OrlandoFunTickets.com is the local expert on having fun and saving money. Need cheap theme park tickets? OrlandoFunTickets.com is your one-stop-shop for tickets to all of Orlando’s attractions, and at the holidays who doesn’t want to save a little money?

OrlandoFunTickets.com can help you save a little time also by giving you bunches of juicy details about all of Orlando’s theme parks. Here is the latest scoop for this week:

As with all of the parks at Walt Disney World, Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is decked out and partying for the holidays. The cooler weather brings a bit more activity in the animal areas as well, so you never know what yuletide treats you might find tucked away in this little jewel of a park. One thing that appears in full force daily is Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade. You will be jamming and jiving to a new world beat along with Mickey and his friends as they celebrate the holidays the wild way. For guests that enjoy a more traditional route, carolers sing in the season at Camp Minnie-Mickey and the Oasis. And don’t forget to stop in and see Santa Goofy in his Wild Wonderland!

Over at MGM, everyone is excited to see the Osborne Lights, and rightly so. But another awesome Christmas display is rocking the Theater of the Stars three times every evening. The Harlem Gospel Choir is spending the holidays at Disney this year, and this 12-member group knows how to share the spirit of the season! By the end of the show, these heavenly voices have whole crowd clapping and singing along.

The Candlelight Processional continues at Epcot with some great celebrity narrators coming up: Andie MacDowell reads from December 14-16; Kirk Cameron takes over the role of narrator from December 17-19; and then Edward James Olmos lends his voice to the presentation from December 20-22. No matter who the guest is, this production is a must see for Orlando holidays!

Another must is buying all of your Orlando attraction tickets at OrlandoFunTickets.com. We are your number one source for cheap theme park tickets during the holidays and throughout the year. So click it and ticket today!

The Osborne Family Lights Truly are Out of This World

Christmas is a time for special celebrations, and spending some time at one of the Walt Disney World parks is a uniquely wonderful way to say Happy Holidays. An annual Orlando yuletide event that is super popular among locals and vacationers alike is The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at the Disney-MGM Studios (soon to be Disney Hollywood Studios). Another fantastic holiday opportunity you will not want to miss is the cheap theme park tickets you will find right here at OrlandoFunTickets.com, your most spectacular source for discounts on tickets to Walt Disney World and all of the Orlando attractions.

All of the theme parks at Walt Disney World are beautifully decorated for the holiday season, but nothing wraps itself around park guests quite like the Osborne Lights. You feel like you actually walked into Christmas. There are lights on practically every inch of every surface you can see, and when the festive music starts the light dancing begins.

The tradition of this extraordinary Christmas display began over 20 years ago in Little Rock, Arkansas, when six-year-old Breezy Osborne asked her daddy to put up some Christmas lights. Not being able to say no to his little girl, Jennings Osborne adorned their home that year with a modest 1,000 lights. The display expanded as the years went by and contained 3 million lights by 1993!

The Osborne’s neighbors did not get so caught up in the holiday spirit, however, and they complained about the inconveniences the exhibit caused. Following a law suit, the Arkansas Supreme Court put some restrictions on the Osbornes and eventually shut down the holiday display all together. But there is a happy ending.

The folks from Disney contacted Osborne and arranged to acquire his family’s illuminating extravaganza and turned it into a holiday attraction at the Disney MGM Studios back in 1995, and the show is still going strong. The Osbornes also sponsor Christmas light displays in 32 cities across the State of Arkansas. Now there is a generous guy who really loves Christmas!

Everyone at OrlandoFunTickets.com loves the holidays too, and we especially love providing you with the best discounts on Walt Disney World tickets. We are the best place to find cheap tickets for all of Orlando’s attractions, so click away and display your Christmas spirit today!

Epcots Candlelight Processional Brings Christmas to Walt Disney World

The Christmas season of celebration is definitely under way at the Walt Disney World Resort. All of the Disney hotels and theme parks are dressed in their holiday best, and the special events are up and running full steam ahead. The Orlando theme parks really do go all out to celebrate the holidays with vacationers and locals alike. And OrlandoFunTickets.com goes all out too, providing you with the best discounts on Disney tickets to be found anywhere. Your best gift this Christmas will be the cheap theme park tickets you find at OrlandoFunTickets.com!

One of the most dramatic and oldest Christmas traditions in Orlando is the nightly Candlelight Processional at Epcot. This tradition is over 35 years old, and actually began as a living nativity presentation in Lake Buena Vista long before Epcot even opened. It has evolved into a truly spectacular presentation of the story of the Nativity.

Celebrities from all walks of Hollywood life transform into narrators with booming voices and heartfelt wonder to tell the story of the first Christmas. They are joined by a live 50-member symphony orchestra and gigantic mass choir made up of Disney cast members, who provide a truly touching performance. The arrangement of the music, and the way in which it is performed each night manages to convey this wondrous story in a way you have never heard before. Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, the show is so well-orchestrated and performed that it is still worth a viewing just for the sheer entertainment value of this professional quality production.

Celebrity narrators this year include multi-Grammy winner Steven Curtis Chapman, well-known “Growing Pains” actor Kirk Cameron, movie and TV actress Marlee Matlin, and famed actor Gary Sinise, who will perform in the Processional from December 23 through Christmas Day, as he has for the past few years.

The Processional takes place three times each evening at the America Gardens Theater in the World Showcase at Epcot. This is an outdoor theater, so dress appropriately if the weather calls for one of Orlando’s crisp December nights. And it is those crispy nights that are the perfect setting for a holiday celebration at Walt Disney World. Even more perfect are the great discount prices OrlandoFunTickets.com offers on all of your Orlando attraction tickets. So whether you’re coming for a holiday get away or you’re here all year, OrlandoFunTickets.com is the place to get discount theme park tickets at Christmas and all season long!

Macys Floats Vacationing at Universal Studios

The holidays are filled with tradition and celebration, and this is even more evident as all of the Orlando area theme parks gear up for their own annual celebrations of the season. The Universal Orlando Resort is no exception, and they have pulled out all the stops to help you celebrate your holiday vacation this year. Decorations and special events can be found literally across the resort, with holiday shows, giant Christmas trees and carolers spicing up that seasonal atmosphere. To help make your Orlando holiday trip even more special, Universal Studios has partnered up with one of the most famous names in holidays and shopping. The Macy’s Holiday Parade frolics through Universal’s own New York City streets each night. Guests will recognize the signature Macy’s balloons and authentic floats, as the Parade brings that New York City Thanksgiving feeling right into the heart of your vacation. Unique street performers and a variety of marching bands make this one of the most entertaining holiday events in town. Besides that, this year’s extravaganza features a brand new Simpsons family float and RV in honor of the expected 2008 opening of the new Simpsons attraction at Universal Studios.

Along with the parade, the holidays are celebrated in different ways on the live stages around the park. The Blues Brothers will be jamming to some rock and roll Christmas tunes and the snow will start falling down on Delancey Street. The KidZone Holiday Show has guests dancing and singing along to all of their favorite holiday hits. And the little ones will have their December dreams come true at Barney’s Christmas Show, where they can clap and sing along as Barney and his famous friends perform A Day In The Park With Barney™.

The Universal Orlando Resort is lighting up for Christmas and getting ready to party on through New Years Day. Their special holiday celebrations start on December 7 and run right up until January 1. OrlandoFunTickets.com has all of the tickets you will need for Universal and all of Orlando’s theme parks at the holidays and for the rest of the year too!
