Bongos Cuban Cafe
Downtown Disney® Area is widely known as a thriving hotspot where fine cuisine is intertwined with entertainment, and where fun happens both day and night! This is the perfect way to describe the Bongos Cuban Cafe, the best place at the Downtown Disney® West Side to relax and enjoy a great meal – Havana style!
The Bongos Cuban Cafe is the work of international superstars Emilio and Gloria Estefan. Together, the duo wanted to re-create a place that was representative of their Latin origins while also serving an authentic style of cuisine in an atmosphere that transported its visitors right to Havana. Their conceptual plans became a reality when they opened their first Bongos Cuban Cafe at the Downtown Disney® West Side in 1997. The old Havana architecture, coupled with the pineapple-shaped adobe structure on the outside, fills the Downtown Disney® West Side landscape with a lively exterior that is every bit as vibrant as it interior.
The Bongos Cuban Cafe is not only unique because of the building itself, it also offers a type of cuisine that isn’t found at any of the other restaurants in the Downtown Disney® Area. Here, guests can delight their palates with the tastes of authentic Cuban cuisine for both lunch and dinner with favorites such as the arroz con pollo, the Club Cuban sandwich, the El Churrasco (tenderized skirt steak) and lots of seafood, chicken and other meat dishes. The dessert menu also features lots of traditional Cuban side dishes, desserts (such as flan) and plenty of cervezas and other drinks that combine together to add the perfect complement to any meal.
The Bongos Cuban Cafe is two stories in stature, and every square inch of the restaurant is packed with a mosaic of colors and filled with celebratory music to make each and every dining experience one you will never forget. In addition to the dining area, the Bongos Cuban Cafe also has three bars, an express take-out window, a live band on weekends and even Desi Arnaz impersonators to lighten up the crowd. You may be in the heart of Orlando, but at the Bongos Cuban Cafe, you are sure to feel like you are in a whole other world!
