Business Travel to Orlando

With the addition of the Orange County Convention Center to the Central Florida Landscape, Orlando has quickly risen as one of the top business and convention destinations in the country. In addition to the OCCC, Orlando has some of the best facilities in the country for business travel with its seemingly endless supply of resorts and convention hotels, not to mention all of the places to eat and things to do while you are making your short stay down here in the Sunshine State.

If you are making your way down here for vacation, one of the first things you need to know about are the transportation options you have from the Orlando International Airport. The OIA is one of the best (and busiest) airports in the world, with flights on nearly every airline in business and routes that can take you anywhere. But once you have landed in Orlando, you have several options on how to get to your final destination. Many of the larger resorts in the area have free shuttle service, so before you book a rental car or catch a taxi, it is best to check with your hotel to inquire about transportation options. Or, if you are heading to either the Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando Resorts, you also have transportation options available. Disney offers the Magical Express for guests who are staying at a hotel on property, which is a free ride to and from the OIA on a nice charter bus, while Universal Orlando hotel guests can also use a shuttle that will go directly to their hotel from OIA through Mears transportation for a fee. If any of these options do not apply to you, rental car services are available, as are plenty of taxis and transportation services via Mears.

Now that you have made your way around Orlando, it is time to settle in for your stay. As we mentioned, the OCCC is where the majority of business and conventions happen in town, so most business travelers will likely find themselves staying on or around the International Drive area. I-Drive, as it is known to locals, is home to five major theme parks, over 100 hotels and resorts, more than 485 retail and outlet stores, 150-plus restaurants, three entertainment complexes and movie cinemas and the nation’s second-largest convention center, all in one place. With so much to do in such a short span, there is definitely no shortage of entertainment options right at your fingertips! And, to help you navigate this area, the I-Ride Trolley has stops all up and down I-Drive for a small fee, meaning you are only a short ride away from all of the excitement that this area of town has to offer!

Once your business ventures are over, you can also do what many other business travelers to the area do – stay for more vacation! Orlando is one of the top tourist destinations in the entire world, and for good reason. But, the reason for you to stay behind a few extra days isn’t only because of all of the family fun you can have, but rather for the discounted price that you can see it for! That’s right – here at, you can get discounted tickets to all of the theme parks in Orlando, as well as other top area attractions and local dinner shows as well. So what are you waiting for?
