At Universal Studios, you will encounter characters from the moment you step through the front gates. Among the characters you can expect to interact with include Shrek and Donkey from the popular Shrek movies, and many of your favorite Nickelodeon characters like SpongeBob SquarePants and Rugrats. Possibly the best place to spot characters in this park is at Production Central, which is home to Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoom Blast and Shrek 4-D. In addition to the characters listed above, you will find characters from Hey Arnold! and Fairly OddParents, along with Dora the Explorer, and, of course, Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius. Another good place for kids to visit is Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone. Here you will find the A Day in the Park with Barney attraction, which allows your family to meet Barney and his pals Baby Bop and BJ in a live interactive stage show!
Universal Studios may be jam packed full of characters, but Islands of Adventure has its fair share as well. Throughout this theme park, keep your eyes peeled for Spider-Man, Merlin the Magician, Popeye, Bluto, Olive Oyl and many more! One of the best places to go to meet some of these characters is King’s Row and Comic Strip Lane. This is the place at Islands of Adventure to meet all of your favorite cartoon and comic strip characters and see firsthand where they live.
If you are starting off your day at Islands of Adventure, one sure-fire way to see characters right off the bat is by booking a character breakfast. Each Thursday through Sunday morning from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Islands of Adventure’s Confisco Grille is filled with special animated characters to entertain and interact with you for the most important meal of the day. This meal is $ 15.95 for adults and $ 9.95 for children, plus tax and gratuity, and can be reserved by calling 407-224-4012.
