Disney Boardwalk

Disney’s BoardWalk is a half-mile stretch of nighttime entertainment, shops and restaurants. Located just a short walk from Epcot and several Walt Disney World Resort hotels, this area gives guests another option for an evening of fun while on vacation. Disney’s BoardWalk is a charming mixture of a 1930s Atlantic coastal village and is set right on Crescent Lake, which offers spectacular views after dark.

If you are looking for a nice alternative to nighttime entertainment, Disney’s BoardWalk is sure to be a good option. You can groove to your favorite songs all night long at the Atlantic Dance Hall or sing along at the dueling piano bar, Jellyrolls. While the Atlantic Dance Hall is mostly just known for its dancing, Jellyrolls is a fun nighttime choice because of the audience participation and dueling piano maestros.

Before heading out to your nighttime destination, check out one of the many restaurants located on Disney’s BoardWalk. The Big River Grille & Brewing Works is a micro-brewery that gives an inside look into the world of beer making and provides samples of these beverages. The food here is excellent as well, as classic American staples are served a la carte either indoors or outdoors during lunch and dinner hours.

Another fan-favorite at Disney’s BoardWalk is the ESPN Club. Here, you can catch all of your favorite sporting events on over 100 TV monitors while you feast on American cuisine. This spot also offers a shopping an interactive activities game room, where you can play games and challenge your friends and family to sporting activities.

The Flying Fish Café is a seafood eatery where the healthy, seasonal specialties are prepared in an on-stage kitchen area. This restaurant is a tad more expensive and serves dinner only. Finally, Spoodles features a menu right out of the Mediterranean, with dishes from Greece, Italy, Spain and North Africa. Spoodles serves breakfast and dinner only, and reservations can be made in advance by calling (407) WDW-DINE up to 180 days in advance.

Food and entertainment aren’t the only attractions at Disney’s BoardWalk, however… the shopping is good here too!  Among the stores you will encounter are the BoardWalk Character Carnival, which features adult sport and golf apparel and other character merchandise, the Screen Door General Door, which offers dry good and accessories, Thimbles & Threads, which is a beachwear shop, or the Wyland Galleries, which is home to the beautiful artist renderings of the world-renowned marine painter, sculptor and muralist Wyland.

Arriving at Disney’s BoardWalk is easy because of its convenient location. As we mentioned earlier, it is within walking distance of both Epcot and several other Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and it is also a short boat ride from the Disney-MGM Studios as well. The main parking entrance is right across the street from the Disney-MGM Studios, and self-parking is always free! While this area is fun at any time of the day, it really takes on whole new persona at night, so be sure to check it out the next time you are in the Central Florida area!
