Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts are New England-inspired lakeside resorts that recall the summertime seashore hotels that were built along Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Island in the 1880’s. The resorts have a great location, situated along a 25-acre lake (across the water from Disney’s BoardWalk Inn) and just about a five-minute walk to Epcot. Along with one of the best locations on property, the resorts also share the best pool at Walt Disney World. This 2 ½ acre water play area is named Stormalong Bay and features a life-size ship with an accompanying slide (the best themed slide at Walt Disney World by a mile), a sandy lagoon and three connecting pools that hold almost 800,00 gallons of water and would be a mile long if you stretched them out. Stormalong Bay also features a smaller slide for youngsters, a sand beach that is great for building sandcastles, and a section of the pool also has a sand bottom.
