All of the four Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Parks play host to special events all throughout the year, but guests who visit the Downtown Disney® Area and Pleasure Island area aren’t left out in the cold either, as this shopping and entertainment district has three major special events to entertain guests throughout the year as well. The most popular special event each year at the Downtown Disney® Marketplace is the Festival of the Masters, Disney’s self-proclaimed annual showcase of art, culture and cuisine. The Festival of the Seasons combines the best of what the Downtown Disney® Marketplace has to offer – shopping, dining and entertainment, all with a holiday twist. In addition to all of the shops offering special holidays sections and decorations throughout their store and in their store-front presentations, this section of the Walt Disney World® Resort also comes alive with festive displays of lights, while carolers, musical acts and variety performers entertain guests in any areas, including on the newly-renovated Waterside Stage in front of the World of Disney® Store. Finally, the Festival of the Seasons features an appearance with the man himself, Santa Claus!

Many of the acts that do take the stage at the Downtown Disney® Marketplace will be doing so as part of Disney’s Magic Music Days. This year-long special event allows bands, choirs, orchestras, dance troupes and other performance groups to audition for the chance to perform on a variety of stages throughout the Walt Disney World® Resort, including on the Waterside Stage at the Downtown Disney® Marketplace. Disney’s Magic Music Days gives groups of all ages the chance to put on a show in front of thousands of guests for a once-in-a-lifetime performance.
