ESPN The Weekend
Many of the special events at the Walt Disney World Resort require a special ticket for admission, but there are some, like ESPN The Weekend, that are included with the price of admission to the park. ESPN The Weekend has become a yearly tradition at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and with good reason. This special event that takes place in the early Spring (usually one weekend from late February-early March) allows fans to see their favorite athletes and ESPN personalities off the playing field and in a way they have never seen them before! And, possibly the best part about ESPN The Weekend is that – since all activities are included with admission – you can actually catch all of the action at a discounted price if you purchase your theme park tickets here at OrlandoFunTickets.com! ESPN The Weekend will be coming back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the fourth consecutive year in early 2009 along with all of the activities that have made it so popular. Along with live ESPN telecasts and radio broadcasts all weekend long (including the “Mike & Mike” show, “Baseball Tonight” and “SportsCenter”), the dozens of professional athletes and ESPN personalities in attendance take place in Q&A sessions with fans, celebrity motorcades and the ESPN Sportszone, an interactive fan zone where fans can step in to play some of their favorite sports before getting behind the desk and anchoring your own SportsCenter highlight reel.
Other highlights of ESPN The Weekend include Dream Job – The Experience, the Stump the Schwab All-Star Game and the inaugural ESPN The Weekend 5K Race, which will take place at 7 a .m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This timed race will feature ESPN personalities, ESPN and sports trivia along the race course, and a portion of the proceeds from every entrant will benefit the V foundation for Cancer Research. And, if you want to make it a complete sports weekend, you can also head over to Disney’s Wide World of Sports, which is the Atlanta Braves’ Spring Training home, for an early MLB exhibition.
Don’t miss one second of the non-stop excitement of ESPN The Weekend at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And remember, all of the activities can be brought to you at a discounted price if you purchase your tickets right here at OrlandoFunTickets.com!
