While
Disney’s Hollywood Studios may be most well-known for its two thrill rides, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, this theme park actually finds it niche with its live entertainment. With a good mixture of shows for kids and adults, including a new afternoon interactive parade and a nighttime spectacular that is truly unique, guests will truly be missing out if they do not take the time to experience all of the entertainment at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
As we mentioned above, this theme park has a new afternoon parade that has separated itself from the everyday 3 o’clock parade. The
Block Party Bash resembles more of a mobile stage show than a traditional parade that guests may be used to, combining almost 30 Disney-Pixar characters, incredible floats, trampoline units, aerial acrobatics and upbeat music for an experience like no other! Disney’s Block Party Bash also doubles as an interactive street party, with choreographed performance stops along the route where dancers, acrobats, performers on jumping stilts, electric scooters and your favorite Disney-Pixar characters from films like “Toy Story,” “The Incredibles” and “Monsters, Inc.” mesmerize the crowd.
The Block Party Bash has been performing daily at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but there is a show that just recently debuted at the park that is making just as big of a splash.
High School Musical 3: Senior Year transports fans of the hit Disney Channel and now major motion picture series into the halls and onto the basketball court of East High. Learn new dance moves and sing along to your favorite songs from the latest movie as you catch the Wildcat spirit at this one-of-a-kind pep rally!
From the newest addition to the entertainment lineup to one of the oldest, the
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! takes guests behind-the-scenes to demonstrate stunts from the movies on what appears to be a replica of the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” set. Choreographed by Glenn Randall, who was the stunt coordinator for all of the “Indiana Jones” movies, guests will believe they are seeing the real Indiana Jones right in front of them!
The
Voyage of the Little Mermaid and
Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage shows have also long been fan-favorites at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests can
go under the sea with Ariel and her friends in a live show that uses costumed characters, puppets and special effects to re-create scenes from the Walt Disney animated feature “The Little Mermaid” or experience the story behind “The Beauty and the Beast” all over again in a rousing musical performance for the ages!
The final show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is meant to entertain the park’s smallest guests.
Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage! is a musical that combines all of your favorite Playhouse Disney pals for a 20-minute song and dance performance that is sure to be a fan-favorite for any child in your family!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ nighttime performance may be changing to a new format, but
Fantasmic! is still as popular today as the day it opened. This nighttime spectacular combines a cast of over 50 performers, including classic Disney characters, with special effects on dancing water screens, to produce a 25-minute unforgettable end-of-day performance.
