With half of Epcot® being devoted to the future and the other half representing countries all over the world, it’s no wonder that shopping at Epcot® is more fun and unique than at any other park at the Walt Disney World® Resort. You can find just about anything at the shops located around Epcot®, and most likely, you will find something that you weren’t looking for that you just may have to take home with you!
Before you spend all of your time (and money) at the park, however, here are a few tips for you. First, if you are a guest at a Walt Disney World® Resort hotel, you can take advantage of free package delivery to your hotel room free of charge. You also don’t have to worry about bringing your credit card with you either – just simply show your room key and the charges for all purchases will be billed directly to your room account. In addition, for an extra fee, your purchases can be shipped anywhere in the world via FedEx – but it will take a little longer than usual to get to your destination because of processing delays at Walt Disney World. Or, if you get home from your vacation and regret not purchasing something you saw, you can order any item from the theme parks at any time be calling 407-363-6200 during business hours.
Epcot's® Future World is home to many gift shops that offer classic Walt Disney World® Resort merchandise. Gateway Gifts and the Camera Center are both located near the park’s main entrance and are a great location to pick up souvenirs or film for your camera. Video cameras can also be rented at the Camera Center, and same-day film processing is also available. The Centorium, located in the heart of Innoventions, is the largest merchandise store in all of Epcot, and it offers an equally large selection of Disney character merchandise, gifts and souvenirs with the Epcot® logo.
Another shop that you won’t want to miss in Future World is the Art of Disney Epcot® Gallery. Whether you are looking to expand your Walt Disney collector’s items or just want to view the stunning pieces, this is the place to view Disney animation artwork, including actual production animation cells and limited edition cells.
The World Showcase is the place where shopping gets interesting. At the Mexico Pavilion, visit the Plaza de Los Amigos, where you will find a marketplace-type setting with piñatas, sombreros, pottery and other authentic Mexican souvenirs for sale. The Mexico Pavilion also has higher-priced selections of merchandise at Artesanias Mexicanas, products from northern Mexico at El Ranchito del Norte, and clothing and accessories for women and children, along with jewelry, at La Familia Fashions.
At the Norway Pavilion, be sure to stop by The Puffin’s Roost, which is a shop that has an assortment of Norwegian gifts, including handmade clothing, jewelry, toys and other authentic souvenirs. At the nearby China Pavilion, you can purchase Chinese merchandise such as silk robes, paper fans, umbrellas, and other antiques and souvenirs.
At the Germany Pavilion, you will find several small shops. Among the highlights include Volkskunst, a small shop that sells clocks, watches and other handcrafted items. Weinkeller is a wine shop that offers more than 250 varieties of German wine that was produced and bottled by H. Schmitt Sohne. Or, if you are looking for a Mickey Mouse statue carved in glass or crystal, visit the Kunstarbeit in Kristal outdoor shop. Finally, at Glas Und Porzellan, you will find more glass and porcelain items made by Goebel. There are tons of collectibles on display, and there is often an artist on hand to demonstrate and answer any questions that guests have, so check the board outside the shop for times when the artist will be on hand.
If you are looking to shop for more sweets than take-home items, visit Delizie Italiane at the Italy Pavilion. This marketplace sells chocolates and other sweets, while La Cucina Italiana is a gourmet shop where you can purchase Italian pastries and dessert items. For more expensive gifts, check out La Bel Cristallo, which offers more glassware and porcelain items.
The All-American Red, White and Blue gift shop at the U.S.A Pavilion is pretty much what one would expect it to be – a shop that sells patriotic items that represent the United States, including American flags, clothing and books.
One of the most interesting, and largest, gift shops around all of the countries in the World Showcase is located in the Japan Pavilion. The Mitsukoshi Department Store offers a wide variety of Japanese products and gifts that range in price from very cheap to very expensive.
The Morocco Pavilion has several gift shops that are unique and very authentic, much like the Germany Pavilion stores. At the Gallery of Arts and History, you can check out authentic Moroccan artwork, or head on over to Tangier Traders for hard-to-find fez or other articles of Moroccan clothing. The Marketplace in the Medina shop sells handcrafted baskets and other handmade items, while items made of brass can be purchased at two shops: the Brass Bazaar and Berber Oasis. Finally, at Medina Arts, kids are sure to enjoy toys, clothing and other items featuring characters from the Disney animated feature film “Aladdin.”
In the France Pavilion, you will find exquisite fragrances, along with cosmetics and bath products imported from France, at Plume et Palette. There is also a section of this store that sells oil paintings and prints from well-known French artists. If you would rather purchase classic French souvenirs, however, head over to either La Signature or The Galerie des Halles.
Much like the Morocco Pavilion features a store filled with characters from a Disney animated feature, Pooh Corner at the United Kingdom Pavilion offers an assortment of merchandise dedicated to these huggable characters (you can also find meet-and-greets with them throughout the day as well). Or, at Crown and Crest, you can purchase dartboards or beautiful chess sets that range in price from 200 to 900 dollars.
And last but not least, if you are looking for a good lumberjack shirt to add to your wardrobe, our last store has you in mind. The Northwest Mercantile at the Canada Pavilion offers a selection of Canadian clothing and other handcrafted items that are sure to help you remember your trip around the world at Epcot®.
