Kennedy Space Center Info
The Kennedy Space Center, located at the “Space Coast” in nearby Cape Canaveral, Fla. (about a 45-minute to one-hour drive from Orlando), is a must-see for any visitor to Central Florida. NASA’s launch headquarters is the only place on Earth where you can tour launch areas, see the giant rockets, train in space simulators, meet an Astronaut or even view a real live launch. For an out-of-this world experience, be sure to make the Kennedy Space Center a stop on your next Central Florida vacation!
Orlando Fun Tickets is not only your home for discounted tickets to all of your favorite Central Florida attractions, including the Walt Disney World® Resort, Universal Orlando Resort and Sea World, but we are also the only place to purchase discounted tickets to the Kennedy Space Center. Regular admission price for the Kennedy Space Center is $ 38 for adults (ages 12 and above) and $ 28 for children (ages 3-11). However, at Orlando Fun Tickets, we offer tickets that not get you into the visitor complex exhibits, shows and IMAX movies, but also includes a tour that gets you into restricted special access areas of the launch headquarters. All of this can be purchased at the discounted price of $ 34.19 for adults and $ 28.82 for children, only here at OrlandoFunTickets.com! And, for a limited time, this ticket also includes a second day at the Kennedy Space Center for free (if used consecutively).
The visitor complex at the Kennedy Space Center has many exhibits and shows that will immerse you into the space center. The Rocket Garden is a dramatic display of the first rockets that put NASA Astronauts in space. Other highlights include two giant IMAX theaters that show real NASA footage on five-story screens that make you feel as if you are actually in space on a mission. And, since you are at the place where less than 500 men and women have began their journeys into space, no trip would be complete without a visit with one of those crew members at the Astronaut Encounter. These daily briefings allow guests to learn about space flight and have the rare opportunity to meet one of these distinguished Astronauts.
The newest – and most realistic – space flight experience at the Kennedy Space Center is the new Shuttle Launch Experience. At this attraction, guests will strap in to experience the sights, sounds and sensations of a real shuttle launch into space. The journey begins at the Shuttle Launch Simulation Facility, where the stage is set for your upcoming ride. After a pre-launch briefing, be prepared to experience a ride that is being dubbed as the closest thing to a real-life launch that there is.
While at the Kennedy Space Center, you can also take advantage of three tours to give you more up-close and personal views of the complex. The Kennedy Space Center Tour is included with admission and includes viewings of the International Space Station Center, LC 30 Observation Gantry and the Apollo/Saturn V Center. This tour departs every 15 minutes from the visitor’s complex. The NASA Up-Close Tour provides the closest viewing possible to the Space Shuttle Launch Pad. In the Cape Canaveral: Then & Now Tour, guests will relive the launch of America’s first satellite into space, as well as seeing today’s active rocket program. Because these tours sell out daily, reservations are highly recommended for both and should be made prior to your visit to the Kennedy Space Center.
