Every year, the Christmas spirit fills the most magical place on earth for a party where snow gently falls on Main Street, USA, icicles twinkle on the castle, and visitors cannot help but be filled with holiday cheer. Forget the fact that it never snows in Florida. When Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party comes to Magic Kingdom in November and December, the park is transformed into a winter wonderland. From 7 pm to midnight on select evenings, Magic Kingdom closes to all but event ticket holders, who will get to enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cookies as they take in all the magical holiday sights and Christmas carols. One of the annual highlights of the event is Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, filled with gingerbread men, elves, snowmen, and of course, Mickey and his friends. Santa and Mrs. Claus will even make an appearance! Be sure to see Castle Dream Lights, when the Cinderella Castle shimmers with 200,000 individual lights that drape the turrets and towers of the castle like ice. On most evenings, there is a tree lighting ceremony on Main Street, and every evening, there will be an awe-inspiring fireworks spectacular celebrating the spirit of the season to a soundtrack of holiday classics. The party also includes live Disney character stage shows like Celebrate the Season at the Castle Forecourt Stage and the Twas the Night Before Christmas show at Galaxy Palace Theater in Tomorrowland. Guests will also find their favorite characters scattered throughout the park, and during the party, visitors can enjoy their favorite Magic Kingdom attractions and restaurants.
