Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney®

Planet Hollywood is a global icon, so it only makes sense that the famed chain teamed up with the Walt Disney World® Resort to add a restaurant to the Downtown Disney® West Side’s diverse array of fine eating establishments. This restaurant allows guests to eat amongst stars – or at least among stars’ memorabilia (in fact, there are more than three stories worth of one-of-a-kind memorabilia here from shows, movies, music groups, etc) – giving anyone who dines here an experience that you can’t find anywhere else on property.

Planet Hollywood stands out for many reasons, but first and foremost would be because of its exterior. We have already pointed out that this restaurant is three stories on the inside, but what we failed to mention is the fact that the exterior is literally in the shape of a globe, with a giant red neon sign illuminating the words “Planet Hollywood” and a red carpet stairway leading up to the entrance of the restaurant. This makes for a unique experience on the inside as well, as it gives the illusion of an almost planetarium-like atmosphere.

While Planet Hollywood may be known more for its image than the food on its menu, the traditional American fare is sure to suit every taste bud in your family. In addition to its range of appetizers, Planet Hollywood offers salads, sandwiches and burgers, pasta and noodle dishes, grilled specialties and seafood. Some favorite from the lunch and dinner menu include the L.A. Lasagna, New York Strip Steak, BBQ Pulled Pork and the Chicken Caesar Salad with Planet Hollywood’s own traditional Caesar dressing. Prices for appetizers range from eight dollars to eighteen dollars, while lunch and dinner entrees run between eleven dollars and twenty-six dollars. And as with any good American meal, dessert options are plentiful as well, with treats such as a banana split, Ghirardelli double chocolate brownie, chocolate cake, key lime pie and strawberry cheesecake; and for those are a bit indecisive, the dessert sampler is a great way for a family to share this best part of the meal!

For those guests wanting to further commemorate their trip to Planet Hollywood, all they have to do is walk outside to the restaurant’s popular merchandise store, Planet Hollywood on Location. Here, you can find all types on Planet Hollywood logo merchandise, most of which has “Orlando” printed on it. T-shirts are the most popular items for sale here, but sweatshirts, hats, bags and more are also available.

Planet Hollywood may be a restaurant that has been around for years, but that doesn’t stop the crowds from gathering here at all times.
