Planning Childcare at Walt Disney World
Are you planning on bringing the whole family with you on your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation, but would like to have a night or two of alone time? And even better yet, do you want to make sure that your children are having so much fun while you are away that they might not even want to leave when you come back? Only at the Walt Disney World Resort could you find babysitting and childcare services that not only leave you, the parent, with a peace of mind while also keeping your children well fed and well entertained the entire time you are away from them. So if you would like to take advantage of the services mentioned above, how exactly do you go about doing that? Disney has quite a few options for you, beginning with childcare that is offered right at your Disney hotel for some guests. There are six resorts at Walt Disney World that have in-house childcare services (aka – clubs that are playgrounds for children with all sorts of games, DVDs, arts and crafts, food and endless amounts of entertainment), and Disney is also affiliated with a company that provides babysitters to Walt Disney World Resort guests right in your hotel room. The six aforementioned resorts with childcare services are: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club, Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Each of the clubs at these hotels open between 4-4:30 in the afternoon and do not close until midnight each evening. You do have to have reservations to drop your child off at one of these clubs, so call (407) WDW-DINE to check availability and to book your reservations. Please note, however, that there is a per hour fee that these clubs do charge, but as we mentioned previously, they are in extremely capable hands while away from you, the parents. They will also get dinner and snacks provided so that you do not have to worry about feeding your child when you get back that night to pick them up! While these six children’s clubs may be a popular retreat for children, the No. 1 childcare option for parents is a company called Kid’s Nite Out. Kid’s Nite Out is a company that sends caregivers out to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room to watch and entertain your little ones while you are away, or to simply be on hand to assist you if you need an extra hand while on vacation. These caregivers are certified in child/infant CPR and basic first aid and rates are based per hour upon the number of children they are watching. Reservations are required for this service at least 24 hours in advance by calling (407) 828-0920 or (800) 696-8105. The next time you are down in Central Florida on vacation, be sure to keep the above childcare services in mind and try your best to secure these services ahead of time.
