Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant
The Downtown Disney Pleasure Island area has always been one of the hottest draws at the Walt Disney World Resort. But in the past few years, Disney has led this area in a completely new direction, beginning with its first authentic pub on property, the Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant. Open since 2005, this festive establishment transports guests to the Emerald Isles with one mere step inside!
With its authentic Irish dishes and furnishings, including dark, carved woodwork, intimate booths and custom-made fixtures from Ireland, diners can enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience at the Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant. But while the setting here is an intimate one, the scene at Raglan Road is anything but, as Irish bands play live music every night, storytellers entertain the masses and beers flow from any of the four bars, both inside and outside on their two patios, making this a lively stage for either dancing, having a drink or dining!
Speaking of food, the Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant also goes above and beyond with the authenticity of its food, as one of Ireland’s celebrity chefs, Kevin Dundon, leads a staff that creates modern twists on traditional Irish classics. Favorites such as Shepherd’s Pie, fish & chips, beef stew infused with a hint of Guinness and the classic bangers and mash, along with side dishes such as colcannon, braised cabbage, crispy onions or buttered asparagus highlight the menu that serves either lunch, dinner or late-night lighter portioned meals and give guests yet another option for great fare in an even better setting at the Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant!
Downtown Disney’s Pleasure Island might not have the same lure as it once did as a nighttime hot spot, but it is gradually working itself back to the top on the list of nightlife jaunts in Central Florida thanks, in part, to the Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant. While the Walt Disney World Resort promises to take you to a “whole new world,” this eatery can do just that with a trip to Ireland and back with just one visit!
