Shopping on Hollywood Boulevard

Much like at the Magic Kingdom Park, much of the shopping at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be done right at the park’s entrance. A plethora of classic Walt Disney World Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios merchandise can be found here in these stores, or you can find more specific merchandise located at other stores that are littered throughout the streets of Sunset Boulevard, the Animation Courtyard or in the Backlot area of the park.

Just inside the park’s entrance lies three shops all within the small circular courtyard before guests venture down the main strip of Hollywood Boulevard. The first, Crossroads of the World, is in the middle of the courtyard and features all of the essentials you may need for the day, including autograph books, pens, pencils, film, disposable cameras, pins, lanyards and more in an open-air kiosk. This also marks the perfect time to grab a map of the park along with a times guide, which will tell you what time all the shows are playing that day, as they do vary depending on the day of the week.

The two additional shops in the courtyard are Oscar’s Classic Car Souvenirs (featuring car-themed items as well as stroller and locker rentals) and Sid Cahuenga’s One-of-a-Kind. This stand-alone building located on the immediate left as you enter the Studios is perhaps one of the most intriguing stores on the entire Walt Disney World property. This must-hit shop has unique non-Disney merchandise, including one-of-a-kind autographed photos, posters, books and items owned by celebrities that fit perfectly into the Hollywood theme of this park.

If you don’t find a souvenir in one of those three shops, don’t be discouraged, as Hollywood Boulevard is lined with merchandise locations! Among the shops closest to the entrance are the Darkroom (camera sales and film processing) and Cover Story, a unique store where guests can get their picture printed on the cover of a magazine! Venturing on down the street on the right are the Celebrity 5 & 10 store, which features standard gifts, home items, hard-to-find characters and plenty of Disney’s Hollywood Studios merchandise; Edith & Adrian’s Head to Toe, home to personalized merchandise (and also where you can get your Mickey ears personalized for a small fee) and the L.A. Prop Cinema Storage, which is on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard and includes a ton of children’s clothing, souvenirs and plush characters.

On the other side of Hollywood Boulevard are two larger stores – Keystone Clothiers and Mickey’s of Hollywood. Keystone Clothiers is more of a shop for adults, with upscale Disney clothing and products, while Mickey’s of Hollywood is your go-to souvenir shop of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This store has a little bit of everything, including picture frames, clothing, pins, T-shirts, plush dolls, mugs, hats and even holiday-themed merchandise. If you can’t find a souvenir at any of the other stores in this theme park, be sure to step foot in here before you exit!

Perhaps the best part about the shops on Hollywood Boulevard is that they are open a half hour past park closing, so you can take advantage of the regular park hours to experience all of the attractions and save your shopping until you are on your way out!

Before you spend all of your time (and money) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, be sure to heed a few words of advice. First, if you are a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can take advantage of free package delivery to your hotel room free of charge. You also don’t have to worry about bringing your credit card with you either – just simply show your Key to the World card to charge all of your purchases directly to your room account. In addition, for an extra fee, your souvenirs can be shipped anywhere in the world via FedEx, which can come in handy for things like snow globes that you cannot carry onto airplanes due to the amount of liquid in them.

While the information above may help you in preparation of your spending spree on Hollywood Boulevard, perhaps the biggest suggestion overall that we can provide is not where to spend your money, but how to save you money – on your theme park tickets!
