Special Events at the Downtown Disney® West Side

All of the four Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Parks play host to special events all throughout the year, but guests who visit the Downtown Disney® Area aren’t left out in the cold either, as this shopping and entertainment district has several special events to entertain guests throughout the year as well. These special events, which include the Festival of the Masters and the Festival of the Seasons, gives guests an extra-special reason to visit the Downtown Disney® Area while on vacation at the Walt Disney World® Resort. The signature special event at the Downtown Disney® West Side each year is the Festival of the Masters, a complimentary, nationally-recognized art festival that showcases work from more than 150 award-winning artists. In addition to the photography, paintings, sculptures and jewelry on display from over 100 award-winning artists on the Downtown Disney® West Side, guests will also find the 11th Annual “Where the Art Meets the Soul” festival outside of the House of Blues, which features live music, national folk artists and children’s activities. Outside of the DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park, animation artists teach guests how to draw their favorite Disney characters while families can cut a rug to the special DJ Dance Party, while Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba also gets into the act, as performers from the show greet guests and indulge in face painting and other activities, while other live performances are scheduled throughout the weekend as well.

While guests can mingle among the top artists in the country at the Festival of the Seasons in the middle of November, late in the month and into December, guests can enjoy the Downtown Disney® Area’s other signature special event, the Festival of the Seasons. During this time, guests can shop to their hearts content at one of the many shops at the Downtown Disney® West Side while also enjoying the festive displays of lights, Christmas carolers, musical acts and variety performers that entertain the crowds during the holiday season.
