Now that you have decided to come to SeaWorld Orlando and/or Discovery Cove, it is also important to know what transportation options you have once you arrive.
The Orlando International Airport is one of the largest in the country, and with more than 60 airlines operating in and out of its terminals, including all the major airlines, you are sure to find a flight that will work with any schedule, day or night. Once you arrive at OIA, you also have many options of getting to SeaWorld Orlando.
If you decide that you would like to have a rental car to enjoy your stay in Orlando, OIA has 6 different companies to work with:
Alamo – 1-800-327-9633
Avis – 1-800-831-2847
Budget – 1-800-527-0700
Dollar – 1-800-800-4000
L and M Car Rental – 1-800-277-5171
National – 1-800-227-7368
There are an additional 15 car/van rental services that are located off-site of the Orlando International Airport, but they do have courtesy shuttles that will take you from OIA to pick up your rental vehicle. If none of these options suit your needs, you can also catch a taxi at the ground transportation level from one of the five companies that are located at the Orlando International Airport.
Once you get to SeaWorld Orlando, you can expect to find parking rates comparable to other theme parks in Central Florida. Nearly 6,700 spaces are available for vehicles, with rates of $ 10.00 for cars and motorcycles and $ 12.00 for recreational vehicles. Preferred parking is also available for $ 15.00. Platinum Passport members receive complimentary preferred parking, while Gold and Silver Passport members can park in general lots for free and pay only $ 7.00 for preferred parking.
If you are staying at one of the SeaWorld-approved hotels, be sure to check with the front desk at each location, as free transportation will be available to the SeaWorld resort. You are also in luck if you are planning on combining your stay with a day trip to Busch Gardens in nearby Tampa Bay. If you do not want to drive the hour-plus distance to get there, Mears Destination Services offers round trip motor coach transportation from several Orlando attractions to Busch Gardens. The fare is per person, but is complimentary with the purchase of a five-park Orlando Flex Ticket. Passengers are also responsible for transportation to and from the pick-up area. For additional information, call Mears at 1-800-221-1339
