Universal CityWalk

In addition to all of their world-class attractions, Universal Orlando also went above and beyond with their one-of-a-kind nighttime and entertainment district, CityWalk. Since its opening in 1999, Universal’s CityWalk has quickly become Orlando’s hot spot for dining and entertainment. The 30-acre complex offers something for everyone with live music, casual and fine dining, shopping, dancing, a movie theater and special events throughout the year. CityWalk is also conveniently located between Universal’s two theme parks and its three hotels, making it easily accessible via water taxi or on foot.

If it is the best nighttime entertainment you are looking for, CityWalk has you covered. For just $ 11.99, you can purchase a CityWalk Party Pass, which gives you unlimited one-night access to many of the clubs, bars and restaurants located around CityWalk (of note: this is included with your multi-theme park admission).  Among the establishments you will encounter at CityWalk are the Red Coconut Club, the newest venture that sits atop CityWalk, the groove – a dance club with a different theme each night – or Pat O’Brien’s, a re-creation of New Orleans’ favorite watering hole.

Once you are finished dancing, be sure to check out one of the more than 10 dining establishments situated at CityWalk. Whether you are looking for a quick bite to eat in the morning to start your day or you just want to have a late-night drink with some friends, CityWalk has something for everyone. They have themed restaurants (among those – NBA City and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville), world-known eateries (Hard Rock Café) and upscale restaurants (Emeril’s Restaurant Orlando).

Once your stomach is full, an easy way to walk off those calories is by shopping at the many stores at CityWalk. Like the two theme parks, many of the stores here have themed merchandise, including an entire store dedicated to endangered species, but you still have the opportunity to purchase Universal Orlando souvenirs as well in the aptly-named Universal Studios Store.

Shopping, dining and dancing aren’t the only things CityWalk has to offer, however. There are additional attractions and special events that you should be sure to check out. One of those is the AMC Universal Cineplex, a 20-screen movie theater complex located in the heart of CityWalk. For just $ 15.40, you can enjoy the CityWalk Party Pass and a Movie, which gives you all the benefits of the CityWalk Party Pass with the addition of a movie that evening as well.

There are also extravagant annual events at CityWalk, like the Bob Marley Reggae Fest, New Year’s Eve at CityWalk and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, along with special weekly events at the clubs, restaurants and attractions.

CityWalk does not charge for admission, but certain venues do require a cover charge if you do not have the CityWalk Party Pass or multi-day theme park admission tickets. Operating hours are from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. daily, and parking fees do apply before 6 p.m. ( $ 11 for cars, vans and motorcycles, $ 12 for RVs and trailers) and on select special-event nights.
