It looks like Islands of Adventure will be welcoming back one of its seasonal shows before the end of the year.
Despite Universal Orlando removing all of the props of Agrro Circus from the Toon Lagoon in September of this year, the Orlando theme park may not be completely done with the attraction. All props used in the show, including the circular cage for the motorcycles’ act have returned, meaning guests may soon be able to experience the attraction back at the park.
If Aggro Circus does not return this year, there should be daily shows between December 25 and January 1. If not, you can expect the show to return in March/April 2012, Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure’s next peak season.
For those of you who have never been to Toon Lagoon in Islands of Adventure and have no idea what Aggro Circus is let us fill you in. The production’s official name is Mat Hoffman’s Aggro Circus and it is a live seasonal BMX stunt show that generally operates during peak seasons in Islands of Adventure. Hosted by Matt Hoffman, the show features numerous BMX bike and skateboarding stunt tricks under a circus theme. The show replaced a similar production known as Matt Hoffman’s Freakin Crazy Stunt Show.
Nestled between Marvel Super Hero Island and Jurrasic Park in Islands of Adventure, Toon Lagoon, where Aggro Circus is housed, is where everyone’s favorite cartoon characters live when they are not in the pages of the Sunday comics. The area is filled with cartoon images scattered across buildings, playing in the fountains, and enjoying all of the live water rides Toon Lagoon is known for.
A few of Toon Lagoon’s other attractions include Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls, an incredible water flume ride that features a 75-foot drop; Me Ship, the Olive, a three-story interactive play area; and Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges, a thrilling whitewater rafting adventure.
