Blues Brothers at Universal Orlando

There’s only one show in Orlando that’ll have you singing the blues with two of the biggest blues stars in Hollywood. It’s the Blues Brothers live stage show at Universal Orlando and it brings together the hilarious and talented brothers Jack and Elwood for a show that’ll fill you with the soulful music of the brothers and make you feel like you’re actually on the streets of Chicago and not in Universal’s backlot.

Combining the people, music and hysteria you love about the Blues Brothers movie, The Blues Brothers show features everything from the cop car equipped with a giant megaphone strapped to the top; the incredible vocals of Mabel the waitress and her sax playing half, Jazz; and of course Jake and Elwood themselves dressed in their trademark dark suits, sunglasses, porkpie hats and straight faces. But it’s definitely the brothers’ high-energy music with Jake on vocals and Elwood on the blues harp that will really have you on your feet in no time.

Just like in the film, the brothers are on a mission from God, the same mission that had them growing up together in an orphanage in Rock Island City in Chicago. That same orphanage is where Jack and Elwood first learned the soulful sounds of the blues from their friend and friendly janitor Curtis. And now they’ve brought their music and their crazy antics to Orlando, Fl for a show that’ll have you singing and dancing just like you do when you watch the movie in your living room.

And as if that doesn’t get you excited, the impersonators who play Jake and Elwood offer a striking resemblance to the real brothers John Belushi and Dan Akroyd from the film. From their height and weight to the way they walk and perform, it’s hard to believe these two men are not the real Blues Brothers!

The Blues Brothers show is an outdoor show and is located in the New York backlot area, which just so happens to look like a movie set. Show times are 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Make sure you get to the show at least 15 minutes before it starts to get good seats and to listen to Jack and Elwood warm up. They’re warm-up routine is almost as good as when they perform during the show.
