Now that Thanksgiving is behind us it’s time to start planning some yuletide cheer and what better place to do so than the most magical place on Earth? It’s hard to believe Walt Disney World ® can be any more magical than it already is but Christmastime turns each park into a magically enchanting winter wonderland that will turn even the biggest Grinch into a Christmas-enthusiast!
From thousands of twinkling lights to giant Christmas trees, Mickey Mouse and Santa Clause performing together, dazzling fireworks, and cheerful parades there is no better place to be at Christmas than Walt Disney World ®. And if you’re planning a trip here is a quick holiday guide:
It’s a ho, ho, ho lot of fun at Magic Kingdom ® as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party delights its guests with tons of holiday cheer! Now through December 21 you and the family can sip cocoa, catch snowflakes and enjoy shows, fireworks, carolers and special holiday-inspired character meet and greets!
Over at Epcot ® enjoy a celebration of Yuletide traditions beginning with an inspirational retelling of the Christmas story by a special celebrity guest during the Candlelight Processional. You can expect to hear readings from Geena Davis, Neil Patrick Harris, Whoopi Goldberg, Blair Underwood, Amy Grant, Trace Adkins and many more. The spectacle is held select nights through Dec. 30 and usually fills up quickly so make sure you get there early.
And speaking of amazing spectacles, don’t miss the stunning lights during The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios ®. This breathtaking seasonal display covers buildings and special holiday décor on the streets of America with thousands of multi-colored lights that dim and spring to life – choreographed to traditional holiday music every 10 minutes in an incredible light show you have to see to believe!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom ® will be jingling with excitement this year as Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade dances through the park. Now through Jan. 3 guests can enjoy the spirit of the savanna holiday-style with colorful characters, festive music, rhythmic performers, stunning stilt walkers, animal puppets and more.
Even Downtown Disney ® is celebrating the season with live entertainment, festive décor, fun photo opportunities and more during Festival of the Seasons. Now through Dec. 27, Downtown Disney ® will spread the holiday cheer with holiday carolers, costumed stilt walkers and street performers, a holiday dance party with DJ, Latin, jazz and pop performances of favorite holiday songs and even Santa himself as he makes a stop in the Downtown Disney ® Marketplace Now through Dec. 24.
