Terra serves Vegan Dishes at Epcot Food and Wine FestivalAs the diets of Americans continue to evolve and change it is only appropriate that Walt Disney World ® caters to the many different food requests of its guests. And for this year’s 2012 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, the Orlando theme park will be catering to a vegan diet with plenty of delicious dishes for both vegan and non-vegan to sample.

For the first time in the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival history, the Walt Disney World ® event will introduce a Vegan Marketplace booth called TERRA. The vegan-only area will include such dishes as Trick’n Chick’n Curry with Basmati Rice Curry with Basmati Rice and Chili Colorado with House Made Chips and Cashew Cheese.

And since the foodie event takes place every year in Florida, it’s only fitting that this year’s Epcot International Food & Wine Festival include a new Florida marketplace filled with all of the tastes Florida has become so famous for. Guests who make a stop at the Florida marketplace will be able to delight in such Florida-inspired dishes as the Florida Shrimp Ceviche with Fire Roasted Vegetables and Crispy Plantains and many other tasty Sunshine State options.

Throughout the years the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival has catered to all tastes, cultures and diets. Last year, the annual event added several new dishes to their lineup that included authentic meals from Hawaii, the Caribbean and Portugal. This year’s addition of vegan food and Florida flavor is just another example of how Epcot ® stays connected to all of its guests.

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is an annual event, and arguably Epcot’s ® most popular that showcases food and wine from across the globe. Each year the festival ushers in new foodie experiences like celebrity chefs, entertainment, new marketplaces and plenty of delicious tapas-sized foods to get your mouth watering. The annual culinary event, just named one of the Best Food and Wine Festivals by the Travel Channel will run September 28 through November 12 and is included in regular Epcot ® admission but please keep in mind some of the food and beverage offerings will cost an additional price.
