A trip to Walt Disney World ® is always fun but sometimes long lines, hot temps and crowds can make the trip a little less magical than you had hoped. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Orlando Fun Tickets has compiled a list of our top tips for fitting more fun into your Walt Disney World ® vacation:
Get on board with My Disney Experience – My Disney Experience has been designed to make your dream vacation easier to plan. It all starts when you link your tickets to your My Disney Experience before your vacation. Once you do that you can begin you’re planning with scheduling some rides with MyMagic+ as well as any parades and fireworks shows you might want to see. MyMagic+ includes Disney FastPass+, which allows you to reserve a spot on a ride or even a show so you don’t have to save your seats hours beforehand. Now you can spend that time experiencing the rest of Walt Disney World’s ® magic!
Go to Magic Kingdom ® during the week – Magic Kingdom ® is the busiest Walt Disney World ® theme park so we suggest you visit the park during the week to avoid the usual weekend crowds. In doing so you will enjoy more of Disney’s ® fun in less time!
Plan to arrive at the parks early – In just about every Walt Disney World ® travel tip you’ll see to arrive at the park early. That’s because the parks fill up quickly and the earlier you are the better chance you have at experiencing every ride, show and attraction you set out to. But it is also important to note that you can arrive at Walt Disney World ® before the gates open and still be late. That’s because it can take anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes to get from the parking lot to the front gate. So when you’re planning your trip make sure you calculate that into your travel time and get there earlier than you think you need to. Magic Kingdom ® can take even longer to get to because of the ferry and monorails you have to take to get there so factor that into your trip as well. And if you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel you can enjoy Extra Magic Hours for certain parks that can let you into start the fun an hour earlier than the rest of the world.
Utilize the morning hours - Now that you know to get to the parks extra early you can take advantage of less crowds and get to your favorite rides, shows and attractions first thing in the morning. Once the crowds start to pick up you’ll have already done your favorite things and you can enjoy some lunch or shopping while everybody else waits in long lines.
