Grinch stole Christmas

For the past 12 years, Dr. Seuss’ famous Christmas story, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” has captivated Universal Orlando audiences during the park’s annual Grinchmas celebration. It’s no wonder why either, with some of the same famous characters from the TV special like The Grinch, The Whos from Whoville, Cindy Lou and Martha May, the head of the Whoville decorating committee, among others, as well as plenty of memorable songs, Grinchmas Wholiday Spectacular is sure to warm your hearts for he holiday season.

Located inside the sound stages at Islands of Adventure, the set instantly transports guests to Whoville, where you’ll find a talented cast and original music. And while Universal’s version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” may share the same name and a few songs as the original, it still has its own identity with incredible new songs and choreography for a can’t-miss production!

And speaking of those songs, everyone’s favorite songs from the TV special – including “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” and “Welcome Christmas” – are performed, as are additional songs including “The Man With the Bag.” The show’s original score was recorded by Chip Davis’ Mannheim Steamroller, who also performs during Universal Orlando’s holiday events.

Outside of the theater, Seuss Landing has also been transformed to make you feel like you’re in Whoville, with Whovillians throughout enjoying the Wholiday and posing for photos with fans. Guests walking through Whoville will be ale to meet The Grinch and explore the Whoville Wonky Tree Lot. There is also plenty of Grinchmas merchandise on hand to keep your Grinchmas memories alive.

And if you’d like even more time to get to know The Grinch, Universal Orlando is offering breakfast with the green grouch himself during Breakfast with The Grinch & Friends! This unique breakfast is the perfect way to start your holiday adventure. The breakfast offers a delicious meal at Confisco Grille with The Grinch and Friends, who pose for photos, sign autographs and interact with everyone at your table. The Breakfast with Grinch and Friends is not included in regular theme park admission.
